When in Perth (see previous posts), we visited the Brew Dog pub on George Street. Never again.

Firstly, the default for ordering food is scanning a QR code on the table, and then entering your order via a web app.

Secondly, the pub doesn't accept cash, only credit cards. This only became clear to me when we wanted to pay.

Do they purposely go out of their way to make it difficult for the customers?

    Nachrichten: Bluesky ohne Anmeldung. Kann man ausprobieren, Verständnis, helle Aufregung bei vielen User:innen.
    Medien: Im Fediverse ist niemand, alles zu kompliziert, keine Themen...
    User.innen: wem soll ich folgen, keine Themen, kein Humor....
    Tja, ich bin vor gut 6 Jahren hier angefangen, ohne vorher in einem sozialen ...äh... kommerziellen Netzwerk gewesen zu sein.
    Ich bin kein "Nerd" sondern interessierter Handwerker. Ich wurde freundlich

    @dsw28 Der große Unterschied ist, dass du ohne SoMe-Vorerfahrung hier landetest. Du warst offen, interessiert und hattest keine Vorstellungen. Leute, die von der Vogelweide kommen, haben viel erlebt, viele flüchten von dort. Sie haben Erfahrungen gemacht und sind den Käfig gewöhnt. Einige, wie ich, lassen sich voll auf dieses 'neue' Fediverse ein, eben WEIL sie endlich fliegen wollen. Andere wollen einen besseren Käfig. Sie schauen kurz und suchen ihn sich dann woanders.

    @dsw28 Ich wünschte nur, sie würden es leise tun. Ohne sich zu beschweren, dass ihnen das Fediverse nicht genug bietet. Denn es nützt nichts, fliegen müssen sie von alleine. Ob im Vogelkäfig, von der Threads-Stange zur BlueSky-Stange oder eben am Fedi-Himmel.
    Und wenn jemand alles bespielen möchte, ist das für mich zwar nicht nachvollziehbar, aber ok. Solange die anderen Plattformen hier nicht ständig Erwähnung finden bzw. sich über sie beschwert wird. Das finde ich richtig Scheiße!

    Wenn ich Leuten sage, dass ich bin, kommt direkt: "Du? Das sieht man dir gar nicht an. Und du bist doch nicht gewalttätig." 🙄

    Ich bin Antifa, weil ich denke. Und dass ich so bürgerlich aussehe, nutz(t)e ich, um von Nazidemos zu berichten und die Krampen zu fotografieren, ohne aufzufallen. Und ich halte im Rucksack Wechselkleidung für den Schwarzen Block bereit. Oder wahlweise Kuchen - was gerade gebraucht wird 😉

    Antifa ist eine Einstellung. Die jede*r haben sollte!!!

    Ich brauche eure Hilfe, denn ich bin auf der Suche nach Schietwetter-Erlebnissen in und den (bzw. in einem Radius von 2 Stunden Autofahrt ab ).
    Was ich toll finde, sind bspw. das "Rock und Pop-" in Gronau, den Park der optischen Täuschungen "Mystery Mind" im niederländischen Horst oder den tropischen - "Orchideeën Hoeve" in Luttelgeest.
    Habt ihr Vorschläge für ähnliche Orte?

    Darauf stehe ich total: Auf Pixelfed editiert jemand eines meiner Fotos. Ungefragt.
    Als ich ihn darauf hinweise, dass es nett wäre, wenn er vorher gefragt hätte, antwortet er, dass er mir gerne entfolgt, wenn mir das nicht Recht ist. Ja, bitte tu das.
    Mein ganzes Leben meinen Männer, mir ungefragt Ratschläge geben zu müssen. Ich kann selbst denken und selbst entscheiden. Und - man soll es kaum glauben - ich kann durchaus um Hilfe bitten, wenn ich sie benötige.

    I really dig this: Someone edits one of my photos on Pixelfed. Without being asked.
    When I point out to him that it would be nice if he had asked first, he replies that he would be happy to unfollow me if that's not right for me. Yes, please do that.
    All my life, men think they have to give me unsolicited advice. I can think for myself and make my own decisions. And - would you believe it - I can ask for help when I need it.
