It’s a recurring issue and has been for weeks now. The most recent one I noticed was this comment, which despite being tagged 4 days ago, only just recently appeared in my inbox....
It went pretty well, we are now established on !casualconversation, the activity level seems similar. If we lost people in the process, they were probably not using Lemmy that much anymore, and where probably “ghost subscribers” of the previous community.
By the way, feel to have a look at !fedigrow, you seem to be an active poster, it would be nice to have your opinion on a few topics

Too many “doctors” have told me that I’m just whining and the Mayo Clinic is just some expensive place for privileged people and the reason I haven’t eaten for months is because I don’t want to....
I just think at some point in my life, there is going to be a wonderful comedic opportunity to crush an apple and I should learn how or train now. e: Anybody else have any ridiculous goals right now?

Tl:dr: would you be okay to migrate the community to another instance for better performance? The change for you would just be one click to subscribe to the new community on the new instance....
Basically, create a new one one the new instance, and tell everyone to move there.
Posts will be kept on the old community, but due to the nature of this community, it shouldn’t be an issue. People are mostly busy with current topics, I don’t really see people coming back often to old posts about what everyone was doing on their week-end a few months ago.
I am asking because all my real life friends have a fuck ton of internet friends on instagram, snapchat .etc and i’d rather not have any internet friend if it means joining those. I tried matrix so no need to reccommend it i thought it was severly underpolished and a graveyard and it made me appreciate the work lemmy devs have...
So, I have been giving this a lot of thought and come November I won’t be voting for team blue or team red in the upcoming elections, but I will be voting for a candidate I belive in....
