I’m more disappointed by their decision to not consider Microsoft’s Edge and Bing as core platforms, even though the former is being pushed way too hard in Windows and the later is used as part of other search engines’ indexes (ie. DuckDuckGo, Kagi, Qwant)

Still cheaper than the alternative where I live, but it’s kinda insulting to increase the pricing a few months after they announced that F1TV Pro would only be available here to existing subscribers…

You’re probably looking for something that supports OPDS to automatically download e-books to your e-reader.

First search result is Komga

I got the full-screen splash screen depicted on the second screenshot a couple of weeks ago, I screamed “No!” thinking Microsoft upgraded me to W11 without my consent. My partner thought my computer was broken 😂

It should be aired on F1TV like other support series. I cannot find the article ATM

TrueNAS SCALE as host with an Ubuntu LTS VM running Docker containers.

Original I went with only containers running on top of SCALE but both iX and TrueCharts made it harder to run plain Docker Compose on TrueNAS.

Well, I did upload a screenshot, but it somehow only shows on Sync, not on the Web UI 🤔

I’m gonna investigate a little later.

Sync messed up the markup, I fixed it

Surprisingly no one seem to mention Mick Schumacher (who I have forgotten about until I saw him in a meme this morning), even though Toto made sure that he appeared alongside him at every GP 🙃

Yep, that one!

Seeing Hamilton in red will need some time to get used to.

Someone should create a leaderboard of websites sharing data with the most “partners”, this week I saw someone on Mastodon posting a screenshot of a website sharing to 1700+ third-parties.

Is this for real? April Fools’ Day is not for another 2 months /s

I think the rule would only apply to paid games since it exists to prevent people from buying games for cheap on markets other than theirs. So I’m not sure Valve would ban users for adding a F2P game to their library with a VPN.

It’s hard to resist the urge to buy them 😬

OP posted from Mastodon and for some reason mentioned the Firefox Lemmy community instead of just mentioning Mozilla’s / Firefox’s Mastodon account.

Why doesn't lemmy host any videos ?

I understand the problem with server overloading and the problems with hosting big database etc. But can’t we host short , compressed videos with just good enough quality . Like some of the high quality gifs on lemmy is much ,much bigger than the kind of videos i described . Or am i missing something ? I do understand the...

As an instance admin, I would prefer not to have users uploads videos or GIFs on Lemmy.

Why? Because Lemmy instances make a local copy of media hosted on other instances. Right now, without any cleaning, my instance has been accumulating 18GB of pictures since July. Imagine how much more that would be if videos were in the mix.

What do you mean by “harmful”? As far as I’m aware, kernel-based anti-cheats like Valorant’s don’t interact with the hardware, they only check that Windows hasn’t been tempered with.
