I wonder how many of the people who were fanatical #Bernie supporters who literally vilified Hillary Clinton are today thinking "what have I done?". I'm guessing not many. Denial is a powerful thing.
@selzero yeah berners are big fans of Donna. I remember that well. You're full of shit berniebro. You're probably one of the racism motivated ones ... there are MANY. You're ignoring that I have been fully engaged with berners almost every day since 2015. Pleaded with them to snap out of the cult fever only to hear replies like "Hillary is a war monger. She'll be worse than trump".
@BobC7000@selzero So we're starting the blame game early this election cycle, I see.
Clinton might have been better than Trump by a mile but she was still an unlikable candidate with terrible baggage (anti-lgbt, anti-woman, pro-war.) Not a particular fan of Sanders either. But, he was probably the more electable candidate between the two. We'll never know.
If party line Democrats want to see real change, they'll stop demanding loyalty at all costs and start doing some introspection into why they've performed so poorly against a literal fascist.
Some of that is absolutely because America has a fascist problem. But some of it is certainly because the DNC has until recently been very cozily working with the party of fascism to ensure that divergent voices could not be heard. Independents and third parties find it hard to trust the DNC when it actively works to silence our voices.
I'd love to vote for a great candidate. Looking forward to the DNC offering one next election cycle.
