Ublock Origin is an obvious one, but I also can't stand not having Foxy Gestures anymore. It adds customizable mouse gestures, so you can set it up to have easy swipes to go back a page, reload a page, close a tab, etc, and it feels wonderful and smooth to use compared to just using the traditional buttons to do everything....
I don't expect critical thinking is at core for r/adviceanimals, but r/tumblr? tumblr userbase are engaged and agains the system. Any way, this dickmove was expected. As long as users don't flee back, is ok.
I know there's already a few posts about how people listen to, or discover new music, but I wanted to see how other people get their music. Do you buy CDs or vinyl? Digital downloads? Use streaming services? Something else? And why?...
Radio, believe me or not. I try to fish on some indie radios. Also, through podcast or YT: I like when they tell you the story or meaning or help you understand in any way. It helps me enjoy music. Then is easy to pull the threat to jump from one artist to the next.
Then I buy CD on their official website, but don't really listen to them.
I'm gonna miss r/Art that's for sure! I loved how ppl gave different techniques a twist. It gave me hope! Most websites circlejerk around portraits and anime. Also r/depression. I use to reply post when I think I could say something helpful. Today someone committed to hospital and I'm afraid she won't be able to reach us back, ask for help, ask for someone to listen her. There's lots of niche hobbies too. I recently joined 3 and I was thrilled with these communities: r/falloutnewvegas and their witty crossovers, r/Tau40K had some cool painters and, oh boy, r/MechanicalKeyboards.
It feels quite right. We need to set up lots of niche communities, but what I miss the most is the user base. It was diverse, and lemmy is known to have an specific user profile. Would be nice to reach out, wear a former redditors badge, and wear it with pride!
I just wanted to take a minute to appreciate interchangable batteries (lemmy.ml)
I know these are currently out of fashion but I’m still thankful they exist....
Keyboard Simulator (keyboardsimulator.xyz)
I don’t know if y’all need this, but I thought it might fit here. Might be helpful for playing with aesthetic details before your next project.

I love how thoughtful everything feels on lemmy

How do you obtain your music?

Sad to see Reddit go
I wish there was an alternative to leaving Reddit
Subreddits you are going to miss?
I'm going to miss AITA. Even if someone makes it a community, it will take a long time to populate.
