Interesting. From what I recall he was not even indicted by the grand jury in that case, but do you have more details to substantiate your claim? I do find it odd that he would do that, given that his sister at 18 was raped and murdered.

I'm not attacking you, I would genuinely like to know more.

As an Oregonian, I have been campaigning for this, writing reps, senators, and joining in at the Capitol (I live like 10 mins from it) to get this started here. I'm so so happy that we'll get a chance to vote on it. I'm planning on doing some educational events in the area, like setting up a booth at a farmer's market to explain it to voters, putting up fliers, etc.
