Currently we have enough excess to give the mods some $25-$35 a month each, for those who are accepting payment (some of our mods are financially stable and have opted for the others to get their 'share' instead) - it would be great if that could be a bit more though, they do a lot of work. Even when reports are quiet, they're always 'on call' to jump in when necessary, and a lot of moderation happens outside of reports, where we talk about issues, etc.

@wuchta We don't have shadow-bans :D But it's totally fine to boost your own post rather than replying to it - like if you post in the morning, you can boost again in the evening for the different crowd.

It possibly hasn't had any interaction though because it's showing something quite mean and I'm sure a lot of people feel bad for the person who's obviously very much in need of a sit down! XD

@wuchta Because we're an inclusive safe-space instance (and the fediverse as a whole has loads of marginalised people) we have a lot of people here with disabilities who will empathise with the person having the chair pulled from them, and also people who've experienced abuse of some kind and experience mistrust and dislike of practical jokes. It's a great animation, in terms of quality and expressiveness, just maybe not a subject matter people feel happy with boosting :bear_hugs:
