Yeah this is bullshit. They wanted the IP’s and nothing more. Situations like this remind me of something that Marty O’Donnell said when that Bungie/Activision lawsuit happened. He said something along the lines of they have to own their IP’s because it’s the one thing a studio has that’s holds value.

They want to be a cloud gaming provider and sell Xbox fire TV sticks instead of consoles, with controllers that connect directly to the azure server running their games. Why do you think Nvidia and the UK weren’t happy with Microsoft a few years ago and they made so many deals with cloud gaming providers like boosteroid and GeForce now?

Microsoft turned every Windows PC into an Xbox overnight with XCloud and they had little to no overhead costs. That’s where their business is right now, cloud and AI, not gaming, Xbox will take a backseat and I’m going to bet we will see them transition from a console maker to simply publisher that conveniently sells a cloud TV stick that can play games.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to use some proprietary connector to dock it to an external GPU enclosure on some kind of thunderbolt bus. It’s kind of a Nintendo way of making a series S and series X.

Currently have a 6a, the fingerprint sensor was garbage when I first got it but Google really did some work to improve it over the years. It’s not perfect but it works.

    Well isn’t that what FOSS provides for us thought? The ability to control everything the software does and we own the content being shown. If we choose to block that content then that’s our right, if threads chooses to allow everything under the sun there’s nothing we can do about it but wait for Facebook to do it for us.

    This is why the whole situation exists, IMO if there was a reason to believe China is trying to influence united states citizens, then this wouldn’t even be a discussion. There are probably hundreds of Chinese companies that operate in the US, why is tik tok signaled out? Because there’s probably a reason they’re being singled out. It might be nothing, but I’m inclined to think that the people who signed the bill know more than what they’re letting on for national security reasons.

    Both versions were tested on Steam Deck OLED models with no CryoUtilities and a UMA Buffer set to 1G (default).

    No, just no, I hate testing like this, it’s not a stock deck with the 1G uma buffer, it’s just not, and the OLED deck is already known to be more power efficient and has a small fps improvement due to that power efficiency. They should be testing with the middle ground LCD deck with no buffer modifications and then test with modifications to see the difference.

    They’re at least being professional about it, they’ve gone through all channels and simply don’t want to disappoint anyone. The difference between this and something like tamriel rebuilt or whatever it’s called is that this one is done, it’s ready to go and they even say it’s ready, but they don’t want it to break after the next gen update. It’ll come out, just have patience.

    If anyone is looking for new fallout content there’s always the fallout new California mod for New Vegas.

    If you build your PC specifically for the purpose of using Linux it does work out of the box. I realize that’s a very specific use case though. AMD graphics just works, installing anything based on Ubuntu just works, if you download the Nvidia version of pop_os it just works. This out of the box excuse just doesn’t hold any water anymore.

    Basically they pulled skewed and cherry picked metrics showing extremely low Linux activity to justify locking those players out of playing their game. It’s scummy and their “trust me bro” attitude towards vanguard should be concerning more than anything.

    What I took away from this article was that there’s a shit load of cheaters in LoL, 15% of ranked matches or something like that had cheaters or smurfs. 1 in 10 games in NA and 1 in 5 matches in Europe is just insane.

    I feel like I’m the only one even remotely interested in this game. Does it look like watch dogs in space? Yes, but I for one enjoyed watch dogs for what it brought to the table. I’ve been dying to play a star wars game that doesn’t involve a Jedi as the main character, so this game is right up my alley. It’s Ubisoft so I’m very skeptical though and cautiously optimistic.

    The steam deck is also the reason why we’re hearing so much about an Xbox handheld/hybrid. OEM partners are screaming at Microsoft to make a mobile UI because they want their products to sell and they don’t want to spend the r&d to develop one. Steam deck is already crushing it’s competition even when it’s using an older chipset and less powerful hardware due to the ease of use of the product.

    Valve struck gold in a product market that has predominantly been high priced mobile PC’s from companies like GDP, largely due to the fact that they have no obligations on licensing costs and are using their own OS. I wouldn’t put past Microsoft to try and capitalize on ARM and the handheld market at the same time and push out some ARM based Xbox handheld that’s capable of XCloud streaming and x86/ARM compatibility to fight Apple and Valve. Of course this also means anti cheat makers will need to build compatibility into their products for those handhelds, or else Microsoft will have the same problem Valve has with SteamOS.

    Not bad, but it only matters if it stays around after the event is over, which I doubt it will. Love the runeterra universe, but hate league of Legends.

    A link to the past for sure, it’s one of the greatest games of all time. My favorite modern Zelda is skyward sword, the dungeons in that game were so well crafted it’s insane the amount of effort and detail they contain. Least favorite has got to be breath of the wild, it’s a wonderful open world game, but an absolutely horrible Zelda game.

    I had a really hard time with the umbra quest and an under leveled amp, to the point where I legit cheesed one of the fights by hiding at the top of a giant tree statue. I don’t want to spoil it for the OP, but what quest would that be?
