I like the ability to follow users in kbin, but I like a lot of users on lemmy. Unfortunately, I can’t always find lemmy users through kbin - but sometimes I can.
For example, https://lemmynsfw.com/u/Rainbow_Spit. I’ve tried pasting the url into the search and it shows “empty”. Then I’ve tried @rainbow_spit (I’ve had success with that format in the past) and it doesn’t show any results (but it also doesn’t display “Empty”).
I thought that users on other fediverse instances were supposed to be visible on other fediverse instances. Am I missing something? I not sure if I’m misunderstanding something, if I’m using it incorrectly, or if there are bugs.
I have to wonder how the people that are okay with this would feel if u/Spez announced that he was starting a lemmit instance to federate "his" content.
Does Kbin have an api? I’m noticing that it doesn’t have an iOS app. And I’m wondering if there’s an api plugin were someone could potentially make an app for it.
I don't know nothin' about no APIs, but I do know that someone is making an app called Artemis that is supposed to be supporting kbin. They have a private beta signup going on here:
