Thunder è completa, ha una grafica molto funzionale ed accattivante è open source e cross-platform, ho sempre ammirato il lavoro di Hamlet e Micah (ma conosco troppo poco Flutter per contribuire).

Come altre app FOSS, ci sono sempre Jerboa ed Eternity (native) e Voyager (PWA), seguiti da una miriade di progetti di piccole dimensioni che vedremo se reggeranno alla prova del tempo.

Raccoon è da includere in quest’ultimo gruppo, manca una vera e propria comunità (sia di utenti che di manutentori), manca una direzione precisa per una roadmap, mancano molti test e documentazione (che probabilmente scoraggia i nuovi arrivati)… non manca però la buona volontà di portare avanti il progetto, anche se un po’ alla volta 😉

Non sei stato l’unico a farlo notare infatti 🤣 purtroppo è risaputo che noi sviluppatori abbiamo il senso estetico delle capre, normalmente applichiamo il principio “basta che funzioni” (sulla mia macchina/sul mio smartphone) 😇 e il corollario “se funziona, non toccare”.

Sì, ci sono le funzioni per i moderatori di comunità (non ancora quelle per gli admin di istanza, che vorrei aggiungere ma finora hanno sempre avuto priorità inferiore nella mia scaletta).

Ad ogni modo è possibile, come moderatore, fissare i post, marcare i commenti come distinti, rimuovere post/commenti, bloccare i post, visualizzare i report e risolverli, bannare utenti (permanentemente o con durata) e fare il revert della maggior parte di queste azioni (sulla rimozione devo ancora lavorarci, non si può annullare per ora). Ed è presente una schermata per avere una visione d’insieme di tutti i contenuti (post e commenti) creati in tutte le comunità moderate in modo da “sveltire” il lavoro… perché sono pigro…

Purtroppo la libreria che uso per renderizzare il markdown non gestisce bene gli escape (in quel caso il # per renderizzare il carattere #)… però sull’apertura del link forse posso metterci una pezza. E il problema della libreria devo trovare il tempo di segnalarlo al maintainer o provare a risolverlo io stesso… 😅😅😅

Here in Italy they have been smarter… even if some parties received funds linked to “United Russia”, they declared it was in the “pre-war” era, so unrelated to any criminal purpose.

Me neither, but it’s a news of what happened yesterday when a minister had to face a motion of no-confidence (obviously they were confirmed) and used this justification.

Lesson learned: don’t consider Italy a democratic country. It belongs more to middle east than to the EU. 🤣

Summary of the article: audience is shifting from public networks (which have always been under governmental control for decades, no matter the ruling party so not Meloni’s fault) to private networks, namely Mediaset which is owned by Berlusconi’s heirs.

In case anyone missed it, today I released the last pre-production release of March. There are many improvements to the Explore section which has been polished and can now be used to explore a whole other instance in guest mode (by selecting the “Explore ” option in the top right menu from a community or user detail)....

    Thank you for this update, as for me (🇮🇹) I’ll keep an eye on Weblate every now and then to check whether strings are changed or added.

    Your app is the best Lemmy client for Android out there so it has been an honor for me to give my tiny contribution. And I say it as the maintainer of another Lemmy app 🤣🤣🤣
