@BakerRL75 any way to push the https://www.weather.gov/akq/weatherstory? The graphic is always weatherstory.png but they have also linked to coming severe weather briefs for hurricanes and snow approaching the AOR.

These appear to be an option product of the forecaster’s workstation. The graphic comes out in Facebook and Twitter posts.

Our forecast office doesn't always tweet the weather story, especially if it is “how boring, another pleasant day.” So I linked it on desktop, well the AKQ root. In looking at the weather story over time, I noticed the URL was always the same for the page and the PNG. Can you curl the URL then do some magic on it? And because the forecast publication system is making these, they are all the same. Only the field office root changes. :)

@ivory How do I edit a post in the send queue that keeps bouncing? Images and alt text May be too big? Little posts are going just fine. Problem post has a Windy App heat map capture of CAPE layer.

It's a truly dismal day here in Dismal Dominion. Left as thunderstorm approaches. Right, as it is leaving. A few seconds of sun as the next one creeps up.

The warned storm just arrived. Heavy rain and out-flow winds from the north. Little lightning at the moment or all,same range bin. Gadget is quiet. Extreme rain. 7 mm down in a few minutes. Images from an hour ago,as,storms developed over Pungo and the Swamp.

@paul I have an m1 iMac that mostly keeps the photo library these days. Wonderful machine and a great 24 inch display. Not looking forward to support sunsetting.

Ahoy . Yep, Dismal Manor is dismal this morning. Forecast guidance calls for rain after dinner. Anyway, we’re all up reluctantly and DW is making porridge.

Rocky continues to lick his IV patch and DW is keeping him in costume and annoying him with powders and poultices. So far, no sticking plasters.

Today is a good day to have the weather radio on. Ours is in the bedroom to alert us of night-time tornadoes. Although they don't sneak up on you, they can arrive rather suddenly.

Our dusty Midland Weather Radio is pictured. Left button turns on the voice message. The three blinking lights notify of a warning, watch, or advisory. The nature of the hazard appears in text at the bottom of the display.

Radio alerts only for messages tagged with our "Norfolk City" county code.
