Last Friday National Psychology Training Consortium celebrated 20 years of of psychology education. HealthPoint (CHC) was recognized for Excellence in Training at that event.

I am humbled that HealthPoint was recognized and thankful for all those who support our program and make it possible for us to provide this training year after year.

Thank you.

In 2004, HealthPoint accepted our first behavioral health learner. As we celebrate 20 years of training in Primary Care Behavioral Health (PCBH), we want to reconnect with our former trainees and supervisors.

If you plan to attend CFHA this fall in San Antonio, we'd love to have you join us for an alumni event. Please follow the link below to register your interest in coming.

After a sleepless night, I received an early morning email with the 2024 Psychology Internship Match results. I've now had the chance to talk with each of the incoming interns--the joy and excitement in their voices are among the best parts of my job as a training director.

I am grateful to all the applicants who applied to our program. I am grateful to the BHCs, and the clinical and operational teams that support the work we do in the education program. I am grateful for our current interns and all the growth they have shown.

I am grateful for this incoming cohort and thrilled to see where they go!

Welcome class of 2024-2025!

This is a year old--but a good reminder that being trans isn't something you "catch"--talking about gender identity in school isn't causing kids to become trans. It's all a myth. A myth that is being used to pass dangerous, mean-spirited laws.

"By leading discussions about different types of microaggressions, the impact on patients and team members, and how to address the incidents, psychologists are pioneering culture change in health care systems. 'Microaggression education is not focused on dismantling systems but improving them,' Shead said. 'And providers want to feel equipped to deliver the best care possible.'"
