"Children's was one of seven hospitals around the country that studied how the flu vaccine in pregnant moms protected newborns who can't get the flu vaccine until they're 6 months old. 20+ year PCP here- has been going down the drain () long before got involved so (so far) they are more of a symptom than cause.
Plenty of good articles in past few years explaining it but AND and are big drivers of this so don't kid yourself that nationalizing it will be any better.

"The UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA), which led the PrEP Impact Trial with the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, said it was the largest ever real-world study of its kind.

It was carried out at 157 sexual health clinics across England between October 2017 and July 2020.

The study found use of PrEP...reduced the chances of getting HIV by 86%. Clinical trials suggested it was 99% effective."
