It's a real joy to work with County Councils across Scotland to support schools in developing their digital skills.In a recent webinar I shared some scary facts:
13,000 jobs are unfilled because we do not have people with the right skills in Scotland.
In Scotland, only 16% taking computer science are girls & there's been a 25% decline in computer science teachers in schools, which means there’s more than 17% of schools in Scotland with no dedicated computer teacher #Digital #Scotland #Schools

Ending the week in Braga & a visit to the incredible UNESCO World Heritage Site, Bom Jesus do Monte, a neoclassical church atop an elaborate & seemingly endless stone zig-zag 17-flight staircase. Pilgrims used to climb the 577 stairs on their knees as penance for their sins...😲 #Portugal

Bom Jesus do Monte This sanctuary is located on the slopes of Mount Espinho. It’s an important pilgrimage site and a UNESCO World Heritage Site (since July 2019). The walk to the top involves 577 steps on a seemingly endless stone zig-zag staircase.
