@rollleafd really interesting take on the mastodon thing. I think over time it will grow here and the hobby space could really take off. Although there is an advantage to it being smaller, it allows the individual personalities of the people to show more.

@rollleafd I wonder if with a purely chronologically based timeline it could be like shouting into the void. There would be so much going on that stuff would be buried so far down you'll never see it. People may not want to follow more accounts because their timeline is already full. Although it would give good opportunities for a nice long scroll.

@rollleafd I think the self curating of your feed is the key part. As the platform (hopefully) grows we will see what things are looking like. The platform will evolve either deliberately or organically to give people what they are looking for. It all depends on uptake of people and what those people are looking to do. Unfortunately if people want Twitter part 2, they will find a way to make it into that
