Ech,

You’re linking your own post about assuming what the admins in .world have done as if it’s definitive proof. After a definitive statement is made one way or the other, then you can start freaking out. Until then, just stop it with the conspiratorial garbage.

Ech,

Outside of combat, magic is painfully boring. Your main character will also constantly spoil basic puzzles for you. “Hmm, a rock, perhaps I can use MY LEVITATION SPELL”. “Oh, cobwebs are blocking the way, perhaps I can use my FIRE SPELL!” Everything boils down to basic interactions like this.

This is probably my biggest pet peeve with modern games. From straight up spelling out the answer to puzzles to nagging the player for not being “immediately” in the next mission area (I’m literally on the way, shut the fuck up!), there is just no space for the player to explore or figure things out or just chill. Makes me want to mute it entirely sometimes just to avoid the constant pestering.

Ech,

Let’s all unite around pride in America instead of falling into the trap of dividing along lines of identity politics.

They say, totally not engaging in “identity politics” 🙄

Ech,

The quote is from the GOP group threatening Target.

Ech,

This is not a comment on you, but I do the same thing and have come to realize it’s at least in part a response to being judged in some way (or feeling judged at least) over things I shared with my family, so now I just don’t share.

If it’s important to you, it might be worth having a conversation about why they are withholding and, if it’s for similar reasons, addressing why they feel that way and assuring them you’ll do your best to keep them from feeling bad about sharing.

Ech,

What if you put it in a balloon and pop it into a funnel aimed into your mouth and you have no gag reflex?

What's your favorite game you never hear anybody talk about?

Mine has to be Dragon Quest: Rocket Slime, a DS spin off of the Dragon Quest series that sees you playing as a slime operating a tank and rescuing the people from your town. You run around the overworld, collecting items to use as ammunition and saving money to upgrade your tank. The art and music are just as great as you’d...

Ech,

Not so much my favorite game, but just one of absurd obscurity: Special Training ‘99

It was a game I found in school that I lost track of and nobody I asked about it had any notion of what I was talking about. Only just found it again recently.

Ech,

I seriously underestimated how little people understand these programs, and how much they overestimate them. Personally I stay away from them for a variety of reasons, but the idea of using them like OP does or various other ways I’ve heard about is absurd. They’re not magic problem solvers - they literally only make coherent blocks of text. Yes, they’re quite good at that now, but that doesn’t mean they’re good at literally anything else.

I know people smarter than me see potential and I’m curious to see how it develops further, but that all seems like quite a ways off, and the way people treat and use them right now is just creepy and weird.

Ech,

If a calculator gave a random assortment of numbers that broadly resembled the correct answer but never actually did the math, then yes, it would be exactly like that.

Ech,

I get that. As a scattered, “throw things at the wall” tactic, it serves well enough. It is far from the all-in-one answer people seem to think it is, though. It can be a good first pass, but like you said, more often than not its output is riddled with errors and needing lots of refinement.

Ech,

Hence why I didn’t say writing. I said “blocks of text”.

Ech,

Since I I’m explicitly arguing these programs aren’t perfect, even at generating blocks of text, I don’t really understand why you are insisting on arguing semantics here and don’t really have any interest in continuing…whatever this is. Have a good one.

I started pirating movies again after a decade

I was a happy Netflix user until 2018, before that I haven’t really pirated any movies (with very rare exceptions) for almost a decade but I recently started again. I’m was doing my monthly budgeting and realized I was paying for too many subscription services. Netflix, Amazon Prime, Shudder, Disney+, Hulu and Crunchyroll....

Ech,

Streaming services are bound and determined to make themselves Cable TV all over again. We had it good for a little while, at least.

Ech,

True!

Ech,

How would one find this? Is it just a console command?

Ech,

I gotta ask, why did you never look at third-party options if you found it so miserable?

Ech,

Fair enough. Glad you got out!

Ech,

Joins server with exceedingly massive amount of users on a platform not built to handle large servers, run by volunteers

Complains it’s not perfect

C’mon man

Ech,

They’re doing a terrible job trying not to, then.

Ech,

Please tell me that’s not attached. It’s not even centered!

Ech,

This reads like a freshman college paper. I don’t think credible writers have much to be worried about yet.

Ech,

GoW is barely an rpg, let alone “more” of an rpg than one of the most rpg-centric franchise around. What a dumb take. Typical ign.

Ech,

Likely as anything else. Rage-bait is the core of “content” these days. It’s why I pretty much refuse to click through any link like that. At least here they don’t get the benefit of ad views or algorithm tuning.

Ech,

Been waiting for this for over a decade now. Not gonna celebrate until it's confirmed.
