I mean, I can see why people want MvdP to win, but I can also see why Vingegaard got it.

His absolute worst result is third in Paris Nice and he completely destroyed everyone in TdF and the two arguably hardest one week races of the year. He could also have won the Vuelta if it wasn’t for team orders.

Well, it was a fun comedy show, I watched it a bit because I was studying with a bunch of Norwegians when it was on the screen, but it’s been (over)shared now for 15 years.

And every Norwegian person thinks they’re being clever by typing or saying kamelåså when they meet a dane, which gets a bit old after the first 15000 times.

For many years I didnt play at all, my cards were just in a box. Few years back I got them out, got everything registered using Delver Lens and started collecting a bit again. Recently two people in my boardgame group hit their heads and can’t do really long thinky boardgames at the moment, so we’ve settled on mtg as a social and still challenging compromise.

We play some of my budget legacy decks, we play a bit of jumpstart, and we’re just starting to get into commander.

One had two minor strokes, didn’t do terrible damage but it does mean he gets tired more easily. The other has a concussion after a mountain bike fall, wasn’t a bad fall either, but it had much the same effect as the stroke had.

Were late 30s so it feels a little early for these things, but luckily I really like playing mtg so I don’t mind that part…

No worries. It’s actually quite common for concussions to have long term effects, doesn’t have to be a hard knock either. Colleague of my wife had a shelf drop on his head, empty and while he was putting it up. Took him about six months to get back to almost full time employment, and he still has to take naps and manage his head during the day. My friend is also only working 30 hours for now.

I’ve yet to see someone blowing people in a parking lot for caster sugar, so I can’t see how it’s as addictive as hard drugs.

I mean, if they were looking to do a genocide I don’t think they’d bother to use precision strikes, warming knocker bombs, and tell civilians to flee.

Seems to me Hamas with their rhetoric of ending Israel and killing all Jews are the genocidal part. Don’t want to see what would happen if they had the military Israel has.

Make no mistake, Israel is still an apartheid state run by awful people, but this is not genocide. This is trying to minimize casualties in an urban combat situation.

I think he could well get a win, he was recorded with the highest top speed in the TdF before crashing out. And next he’ll have Mørkøv with him, which should be a step up.

Our lunch-cuisine is excellent and quite unique. Lots of different types of smoked and cured fish, lovely bread, interesting combinations like ‘æbleflæsk’, and so on. And smørrebrød is a delight when made properly and fresh, and not something you find elsewhere.

Seriously, though. How often do you think of the Roman Empire?

I know this is a joke/meme, but I sincerely think of the Roman Empire a surprising amount of times. I find myself obsessing over how Roman citizens were living just as complex lives as we are today, or about Marcus Aurelius’ life and philosophy, or about how the Republic fell and became a totalitarian state.
