@jerry and it’s thanks to moderation that I have no idea why this guy is being shit canned, which is exactly how moderation should work. I have not had to deal with this guy, and what was I assume a very toxic individual.

I saw a TikTok recommending putting olive oil in cappuccino. I love olive oil and I love cappuccino, so I was super excited to try it. Can't get over how well it did not work. Somehow combining two things I like turned into undrinkable coffee.

What could go wrong with blending coffee, butter and oil then necking it as soon as you wake up.

What is the true purpose of "baby on board" signs some people stick in their rear windscreens?

I was trying to evaluate whether it might be as an aid to the fire service; i.e. knowing they may also need to rescue a child. But... they don't say how many children, and also, most cars with "baby on board" signs that I see.... don't have a child in them, so maybe could cause a rescue person to waste their time looking for a child that isn't present?

@bloor That assumes that the solution that is being presented is the best way to do that, rather than the cheapest way to sell people a plastic square.

I personally use them to judge people who use their phone while driving, as they are specifically calling out that they are driving dangerously while children are in their care.

This is the internals of the ceiling lamp the previous owners of the apartment installed which turned out to have a surprise bluetooth speaker the neighbors accidentally connected to. I can barely reach it and I don’t have a lot of tools. I would like to keep the lamp part functional while killing the speaker. Can I just cut the exposed wires?

@0xabad1dea It looks like power goes into the speaker body then out to the lights, so it looks like you can't.
If you're lucky it will split internally to the speaker and lights, so you may be able to cut there. If it is as cursed as it looks there will be a single SoC handling lights and tunez.

So used to be on Channel 5 in the UK, then on Channel 4 and YouTube. Now it's moved to TNT sports which means you need to pay £30 a month to watch was was free. This is more than F1 want for you to have a dedicated channel.
If they think this is going to help get people watching Formula E, they are very mistaken. I certainly won't be watching this season.

Fucking HP and and their fucking cloud printers.
My daughter is doing her mock exams from home thjis week, so we got a nice new HP printer to make sure she had no problems printing her papers.
We set it up and declined to use the HP+ cloud service. Sent some test pdf files to it, all worked fine. Printed the exam insructions this morning, again all fine.
Tried to print her exam paper and - "Error, you need to register this printer at 123.hp.com or I WON'T PRINT SHIT"
Queue a mad scramble to get the printer registered and I got the paper printed with ONE MINUTE TO SPARE.
So, once again, FUCK HP.

Seeing as it’s keyboard week it’s probably the best time to tell this story.

About 30 years ago I worked part time at a very large, very unsuccessful PC retailer. When our parent company finally realised that Dudley was not buying enough hardware to keep the lights on they finally closed us down. One of the last tasks we had to was to process many pallets of Desktops, monitors, keyboards and software into single system boxes to load onto a lorry.

This got very boring after a week or so, until we noticed that the keyboards had removal key caps. If you are very lucky you may encounter one of the legendary, not QWERTY, but WANKER artisanal keyboards.
