Snippets Studio v2.0.0 build 27 is out with the following changes:

Sidebar width is adjustable

Snippet height is smaller in Snippets View (See Images). You can toggle this in the app settings (command + ,). There is an animation associated with this. Please REPORT any animation bugs that appear from this. If it doesn’t look right to you, you’ll know and that’s a bug. Please include a gif or screen recording of it.

Snippets can now be viewed in their own window on iPadOS! (Mac soon)

“More” button is gone. Just tap a snippet to reveal the menu options

Snippet height can be made smaller in Snippets View. You can enable this in the settings view.

@swiftandtips name it something else. As far as I understand, there isn’t a way to use the same name as another struct in your app whether it’s in the framework or something you made yourself. In fact, Xcode usually warns you when you name your project the same thing as something included in a framework. (See image) I would assume it applies to struct names as well.

Maybe WebBody or WBody is a good alternative?

@deanatoire this is why I rarely use the live preview anymore. It’s slow and buggy. I just test in the simulator.

Note to self: Toolbars don’t work with NavigationView, have to use NavigationStack or NavigationSplitView instead, which are iOS 16+.

@steveroy toolbars existed in SwiftUI starting in iOS 13. I don’t see how they would stop working when Apple introduced the new navigationStack and SplitView. Are you sure you have the toolbar attached to a view inside the NavigationView as opposed to on the NavigationView?

Cleaning out the old feedback in Feedback Assistant app. Some of the feedback were still open from iOS 9 LOL. This one though, I would like to say I gave them the idea for… even though that’s probably not what happened haha.

Made a new app to help with my day job. It's called “SHOUT - Text Cases” on the mac app store. Its a simple app; all it does is take text in your clipboard and make it uppercase, lowercase or capitalized. I called it “SHOUT” because I specifically need to make text uppercase for a specific file I submit to another entity. Maybe others will find it useful. Boosts appreciated 🙏🏻😊.

@phranck awesome! Glad it worked. There’s an update coming soon that makes it a 3 pane NavigationSplitView cause there is a SwiftUI bug (maybe just a general bug in macOS?) that causes a huge performance hit when lots of Text() is on screen. So it will look like this soon. Which is actually how I originally wanted it but couldn’t get it quite right until now.

Might add an option to reduce the vertical space each snippet takes up so more can fit in the second column.

@phranck lol I’ll see if I can give a little extra room there 😄

I think the main problem was that macOS likes to shrink the sidebar when you shrink the window and I disliked that a lot. I’ll have to look into that again
