Koopa_Khan,

Did you put a pause on a layer to complete the switch over?

Koopa_Khan,

Thank you! That’s what I’ll go with

Koopa_Khan,

Does it just get to hot for pla to cool if its closed up?

Koopa_Khan,

Thanks for the tips! It sounds like I’m in for more of a project that I initially suspected. I’ll have to check out Prusa’s guide amd see what it takes to move the electronics.

Luckily I’ve left the printer untouched in terms of pla upgrades.

Koopa_Khan,

Ultimately I’m printing a lot of MTG commander deck boxs with screw tops and would like them to include a seal so their water tight. I’m also starting to design some camera adapters that need to set outside for a lengthy period of time.

I got lucky with mine since neo came with an all metal hot end but haven’t done any upgrades. Long term I was pretty much just planning to use this one until it stops printing, but now this is a full blown addiction and I’m hoping to get a second printer with multiple hot ends when my wife and I get get some more space.

Thank you for the ASA tips! Do you have any recommendations on printing that material? I think I overlooked that filament.

Koopa_Khan,

Not yet, I’ve only ever printed PLA and heard that it will never get water tight. Grant it, I have a print I can test when it finishes up in a day or two.

I thought about running multi-material but would need to get that add on that can splice in filaments to run through the Neo’s single extruder ( maybe the sidewinder x1?), but can’t remember what it’s called to look at reviews

Koopa_Khan,

Thank you!

Workshop Tools: Drill press, die filer, jaw clamps via Tested (www.youtube.com)

We meet “Steamboat Ed” at this year’s Maker Faire Bay Area, a veteren machinist who has taken to designing shop tools that anyone can 3D print! From a simple drill press to die filers and alignment clamps, Ed’s enthusiasm for making shop tools accessible is infectious! Plus, he shares with us his modular motorised...

Koopa_Khan,

That drill press is really cool, and so is the file thing. I might have to look into both of those at somepoint

Koopa_Khan,

I was in the same spot with a ps4 and upgraded to a Series X. Still not as powerful as a pc, but the game was playable and fun on next gen so I’m sure you’d have a blast on pc.

Koopa_Khan,

Those styrofoam cups have been my Skyrim cheese wheel. Plentiful and as you said nobody cares about them. I cant wait to fill my ship with them

Koopa_Khan,

Thank you! That’s good to know, I’m glad they made it all standard

Koopa_Khan,

I’m saving that list, thank you! I’m sure that will come in handy more than once

Koopa_Khan,

This is a lifesaver! I didn’t have the install guide either so its bookmarked now.

No bolts in the gantry ends, but the M5x45s seem easy enough to find.

Koopa_Khan,

I told you we should have stopped and asked for directions when we took that wrong turn at Endor.

Koopa_Khan,

How does this work if apartments made you sign a addendum preventing you from having weed in the apartment? Does that go out the window now?

Koopa_Khan,

Thank you! That makes sense to me

Is it worth sticking with the Dark Tower if I'm not completely into the Gunslinger?

I’m not saying I dislike it but I’m finding it hard to get through and it’s incredibly short. I enjoyed the first chapter in Tull and I enjoyed the desert scenes but since then I’ve been finding it hard to focus on. I like the characters too but it just feels a bit… Boring in places?...

Koopa_Khan,

Biased here since The Gunslinger is what got my into Stephen King, but stick with it. The books get better as they go on and you start to get into the Stephen King book universe later down the line.

Koopa_Khan,

This is why I don’t write and find it so hard to start. I’ve got a ton of ideas and what to spill them out, but the thought of putting it on paper or in a pages document where someone might actually read it is embarrassing.

Koopa_Khan,

This is exactly why I want a 3d printer and why my wife says we don’t have space for one

Koopa_Khan,

I came here hoping someone would link one. That sub taught me so much about their bs.

Koopa_Khan,

That sounds awesome! I’m super pumped to go in September

Koopa_Khan,

We ended up bringing a tent. The mosquitoes are bad where I am so sleeping in the cockpit would’ve been rough lol.

How big is your Hobie? There’s a 16ft that goes out into the Apostles on YouTube and it looks like a blast.

Good luck on your trip!
