Krudler,

Not with void-heads like you trolling and clogging the place up with useless bait posts.

I hate to tell you this but we don’t want you here and we don’t necessarily want a million, please go away.

Krudler,

When you need to melt cold butter in a pan, don’t break out the knife or try to chip off a shard, just put it face down on the pan and let the appropriate amount melt.

This requires that you keep a small ring of the foil on the base (for convenience and clean hands) but it’s easy to do that once you get into the habit.

Krudler,

If you’re not using a center support you’re wrecking your mattress as it sags in the centre. Please keep this in mind!

I quit drinking years ago and I reported every (e alcohol) ad explaining that I am no longer their target market and the ads are literally dangerous to me. They were gone within a few weeks - haven’t seen a booze ad in 5+ years.

Krudler, (edited )

I just would like to show something about Reddit. Below is a post I made about how Reddit was literally harassing and specifically targeting me, after I let slip in a comment one day that I was sober - I had previously never made such a comment because my sobriety journey was personal, and I never wanted to define myself or pigeonhole myself as a “recovering person”.

I reported the recommended subs and ads to Reddit Admins multiple times and was told there was nothing they could do about it.

I posted a screenshot to DangerousDesign and it flew up to like 5K+ votes in like 30 minutes before admins removed it. I later reposted it to AssholeDesign where it nestled into 2K+ votes before shadow-vanishing.

Yes, Reddit and similar are definitely responsible for a lot of suffering and pain at the expense of humans in the pursuit of profit. After it blew up and front-paged, “magically” my home page didn’t have booze related ads/subs/recs any more! What a totally mystery how that happened /s

The post in question, and a perfect “outing” of how Reddit continually tracks and tailors the User Experience specifically to exploit human frailty for their own gains.

Edit: Oh and the hilarious part that many people won’t let go (when shown this) is that it says it’s based on my activity in the Drunk reddit which I had never once been to, commented in, posted in, or was even aware of. So that just makes it worse.

Krudler,

Yes I was advised in the removal notice that it had been removed by the Reddit Administrators so that they could keep Reddit “safe”.

I guess their idea of “safe” isn’t 4+ million users going into their privacy panel and turning off exploitative sub recommendations.

Idk though I’m just a humble bird lawyer.

Krudler,

Spam

Krudler,

When you show up to drop a video and ask for donations, you’re not adding anything to the community, you’re leveraging it for selfish gain. Therefore, spam. I’m not going to encourage this behavior by watching or engaging with the video.

AI told me 75C/170F is ideal for hot tub water temperature.

Sure no problem. Once I get used to that I’ll work my way up to boiling peanut oil.

I went and read the research.

I’m not an expert and as such can’t really analyze it fully. But what I took away is that it aimed to test a part of new theory by with a very narrow measurement, using early-universe density oscillations. They left dark matter out of the equation with the new model, and it was a smashing success if you’re willing to overlook that it requires the universe to be a completely different age than it is… In short, this is shenanigans.

edit: I’m fine being wrong if I am, I’d love to know more from informed readers. That’s just what I took away iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/…/ad1bc6#apjad…

edit2: It also presumes the “tired light theory” is true. Tired light is the flat earth of astrophysics/cosmology. Yeah, there are contrarian knuckleheads in every discipline.

Krudler, (edited )

They don’t, although they do not “rarely” interact with other particles, they move as waves, like all other energy in the universe.

Krudler,

Simple answer: no

Krudler,

You’re talking to somebody that studies particle physics okay.

Krudler, (edited )

It’s crank science, it relies on the tired light theory which is the flat earth of cosmology.

Edit

The results are a “smashing success” if you are willing to accept that the universe is substantially younger than we already know it to be.

Edit2

iopscience.iop.org/article/10.3847/…/ad1bc6#apjad…

I recommend you read the Discussion and Conclusions parts if not anything else. It’s pretty grim and contains a series of bald-faced “admissions” that this is shenanigans.

I feel like most horror movies are preying on deep psychological fears of things that don’t or won’t happen, or happen only in the furthest reaches of the psyche.

The concept of just leaving your house to get some turnips and getting shot in the face is like a daily thing for every American, so I’m not sure that makes for good psychological horror.

Krudler,

How many times does the digit 2 appear in the local crappy pizza 7 digit phone number?

Krudler,

We have a small desert with cactii in a region that has snow 6 months, extreme cold for 2 months of the year.

Krudler,

I was wondering because it was either Detroit or Winnipeg, my hometown with 2222etc pizza joints.

Winnipeg always had “devil’s night” going back to at least the '70s.

Krudler, (edited )

Since the concept of God is unique to each individual, and totally irrational, and basically non-existent in an objective sense, the answer would be no.

Or I suppose more to your question, if you personally believe that God exists and is a physical being and you believe it’s made of atoms, then it’s made of atoms.

E

I wanted to add an edit here. I think it’s very baffling to me that you chose atoms. Atoms are not even fundamental particles; they are made up of smaller particles. And those smaller particles themselves are made up of smaller particles. And we’re not entirely sure where those particles come from, they might be from fields that are even more fundamental.

The point here is that I do not understand why you have chosen an arbitrary scale for matter. Even if we did accept for a moment that God was a physical creature, why would he be made of coalescences or larger particles? I know it seems ridiculous but it’s kind of like pondering if God is made of baseballs.

Krudler,

“with whom I have no meaningful connection with”

Oh it hurts to read.

Krudler,

I wonder how fast this conversation changes when it’s about protecting Americans’ data and privacy…

That’s what this current topic is about you rain-soaked gutter-muppet.

I can log on to anybody’s computer in the world, install Steam, and have full access to my entire game library.

I can make almost anybody I know (with limits) a “family member” and share my library.

I can stream my games from my computer to my phone.

My steam deck lets me play my entire library anywhere.

I see no personal benefit to using physical media anymore.

I guess a disclaimer would be that I trust Valve but you truthfully, I don’t trust all game companies/vendors.

A Multi-Billion-Dollar Question – Researchers Are Closer to Understanding Hydrogen’s Great Challenge (scitechdaily.com)

Hydrogen traps can be introduced into the material microstructure to immobilize or trap absorbed hydrogen, limiting the amount of hydrogen participating in the embrittling process. This study finds that adding the chemical element molybdenum to steel reinforced with Ti-carbides markedly enhances its ability to trap hydrogen....

Krudler,

I hadn’t heard about the challenges involving storing hydrogen, so I’m finding this kind of interesting!

From my total layman appreciation of the article, it sounds like the issue is that within a containment vessel, the hydrogen, being the smallest atom, has a tendency to find every pit, gap, and crack. Which leads to embrittleing.

I’m a little confused here. What causes the actual embrittleing? Do they hydrogen molecules try to combine with other molecules and then it erodes the material?

Krudler,

Hey thanks, it looks like the main issue is that it literally leaks and diffuses into the material.

From there it forms hydrides/voids and thus tiny pressure differentials which aid in cracking.

When it’s not doing that, being suspended in the material simply changes the underlying materials’ ductility in different ways under different conditions.

Looks very fascinating and all centered around the idea that the hydrogen atom is so tiny, it “fills in the holes” of other materials and wreaks havoc.

This is my understanding from again, a layperson perspective, but I did find it the links interesting!

Krudler,

You know how I found this post; this community? It was because I’ve been feeling like I don’t like wrestling and I haven’t liked wrestling for going on 20 years, but I still like all the hoopla surrounding wrestling.

I wish there was a place where we could gather to yabber without the sweatys that live in the fictional part of the medium when discussing it.
