@9to5linux @Nitrux_NX @uri_herrera Where are the window controls?

So I've just been doing some tidying in the garage and I found this old #Compaq #Netbook. I've put it on charge, but do we think it will boot, and what OS do we think it's running?

@kev This might be helpful: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/EOLUpgrades

Or just try the Debian way: https://wiki.debian.org/DebianUpgrade
(Only upgrade from one LTS to another, so 16.04 -> 18.04 -> 20.04 -> ...)

The next edit: From the wallpaper it seems to be 16.10, so you probably need to upgrade to 17.04, 17.10 and 18.04 before doing LTS jumps.

I added a random watch picker to my site. It’s fun not knowing which watch I’m gonna wear each day.

@kev Why don't your make it a PWA so it feels more like a native app?

Ente's latest release has adopted the latest Material You components, just for You 🫶

Lenni,

@ente So just the components (Material Design 3) , not the dynamic colors (Material You)? I'd love to see both (at least option) dynamic colors in photos and the same thing (design and colors) for Auth

@tripplehelix @9to5linux They made it as a Wayland replacement for RealVNC, which only supports X11. That might be enough for you

@Man2Dev @kde @kde That sounds like it went better than on KDE neon, lol

@Pantherina @sputge I think the F[number] stuff gets directly passed to the OS, just the [Fn] stuff (those extra features to change the display brightness, volume, etc.) is managed by the Keyboard (?) or BIOS

One of the KDE Plasma features I use almost in daily basis is the MouseMark.

Go to your settings, in Desktop Effects, Enable the MouseMark (you can change the settings of it in the button in front of it). Then press Meta+Shift and move your mouse to doodle, or press and release Meta+Shift+Ctrl to define beginning and end of an arrow (it will draw the rest.

Interestingly enough, it have been in Plasma for the past 16 years:

The webpage of kde.org in Firefox tab, on which I have drawn two red arrows pointing at the "Plasma" word, and hand-drawn a check mark over "for Linux".

@Mehrad @kde @kde Can't you just do that with a screenshot utility like Flameshot?

@9to5linux I switched to Tenacity because of the Telemetry and the Muse's other controversial decisions.
