Longish post that I've been meaning to post for a few weeks now. I tried to run only #FreeSoftware for work for a month and the result was amazing. Here's a few tips on how I did it in case you want to try it too.

#VirtualBox 7.0.18 is out now with more fixes to prevent UBSAN warnings and a fix for an issue with incorrectly displayed time stamps within mounted shared folder for #Linux Guest Additions, as well as a fix an issue that caused a host system crash when the VM used a bridged or host-only network adapter. This applies to the states of the 🇪🇺 #EU and many other countries as well. But the bigger problem is: Nobody seems to care. Many times people just shrug and say that we can't change that anyway. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
To me it's the same situation as with the 🌡️ #ClimateCrisis. You can make the change. Switch to #FreeSoftware such as a :linux: #GNU / #Linux system, support #OpenSource projects through contribution and donation, and never trust the cloud (other people's computers).
No #AI or "genius" at #Microsoft or other #BigTech company will save the world or protect you from #Cybercrime. It's up to you and it's your responsibility to make the change. 🛡️ #ITSec is a process that begins with your #Commitment to it, and the #Internet is no sandpit (anymore).
Where are the people earning money with #OpenSource#Software ? Or is there maybe even someone who founded their own company with it or has a #StartUp ? Could you might share your story? How is this software financed (donations, support subscription, premium features, etc.), how are you doing, what are the real issues you have experienced?
