I know most people that were on reddit at the time are fully aware of this and won’t be surprised but don’t dismiss the findings out of hand. It’s important that studies are being conducted and the fact that the finding match our lived experience is still noteworthy.
Bathroom doors specifically, not just doors in general? Edit: I looked it up and I guess it’s about bacteria like E. Coli, that makes sense. It’s weird, because people on Reddit/Lemmy always talk about using these tricks to avoid touching things, but IRL I’ve never seen anyone do it or heard anynone talk about it

Like, I’m on a plane. I don’t want to watch Toy Story when I can do that at home, I want to see what the pilots see. And that way every seat has technically a window to look out of.
Just out of curiosity. I have no moral stance on it, if a tool works for you I’m definitely not judging anyone for using it. Do whatever you can to get your work done!
Only from Mastodonians that put in the effort to post to a Lemmy community or respond to a Lemmy post. Still neat to see it working though. If you’re really interested you could try Kbin. It interacts with all Lemmy and Mastodon content.
One for people who view the movie as “their kind of movie” and one for people who don’t.
You can look for specific reviewers who tend to like the same kinds of movies as you, then see what they think. Or, look at the reviews instead of the score. I tend to look at an average review, a positive review and a negative review, to see if I care about any of the bad parts they bring up.
the person did not see the implication of praising/complementing someones genitals that were the problem
Wasn’t that the point of the comment? They got asked if they’d date a trans guy and responded that it wouldn’t work out because what they’re attracted to is exactly what makes the trans guy dysphoric
Edit: the post the comments were under was a bit weird about trans though, I’d be fine with that not existing here

Instead of movies and crappy games on those in-flight displays, they should just stream the view out the cockpit window.
