Something like “VII + i” would be unambiguously complex.
Unless, wait, are we taking “VIIi” to mean ‘7 + i’ because that’s how Roman numerals treat concatenation? If so, how would we represent other purely imaginary values? Just lowercase Roman numerals (e.g. “iv” for ‘4i’)?
Before Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind there was Daggerfall, the second entry in what has become a household name for fantasy RPGs. The original is available on Steam and GOG, though 23 years later we have a modern remake in the form of Daggerfall Unity which brings in modern graphics, controls, QoL improvements and mod support...
There’s an option (or maybe it’s a mod?) in Daggerfall Unity to reduce the size of the procedural dungeons. The plot dungeons will still be stupidly large, as their layout is fixed, but it helps with everything else.
As someone who is from Or*n, rofl. My parents even have a story about their dog from when I was a baby freaking out about a banana slug while we were camping.

That math assumes a flat distribution of popping times, which I suspect is incorrect.
Listening to a bag of microwave popcorn, it starts off slow, gets more rapid, and then tapers off again, implying that kernels are more likely to pop near the average time, which makes it somewhat more likely for two kernels to pop simultaneously.
But yeah, whole bag at once is probably still basically zero. Unless you use one of these, of course.
When I was thinking about starting this Lemmy community, I tried writing down every single Weird West work I’d seen, read, or played. In that list, I added Wild Wild West. But now that I think about it, I’m not sure if I’d call it a Weird Western....
Even within sci fi there’s a divide between “hard” and “soft”, where the former puts emphasis on plausible technology and the latter can be little more than an aesthetic.
The Difference Engine by William Gibson and Bruce Sterling is an example of hard steampunk.
I think TES NPCs have been reacting to clothing since Daggerfall. Back then it was just a disposition modifier based on the total value of what you were wearing, but still.
