I have been using it for around 10 months now. The first couple months were great, but now it loses connection multiple times per week and that is only resolved after rebooting the modem. There was also a two week period that they were working on the tower and resulted in me having no internet during that time. It’s definitely annoying, but the only other option I have is CenturyLink DSL. If I had fiber or cable internet available, I would use that instead, but the slow DSL speeds make it worth putting up with T-Mobile’s unreliability.
For transparency, I only signed up for a Discover card recently because they had a 15 month 0% balance transfer promotion, which is what I’ve been looking for. In general it’s seemed like their rewards were not outstanding and you had to deal with potentially not having the card accepted elsewhere....
While I’ve only dealt with Discover support for a couple of minor issues, it definitely left a positive impression. There was no automated system I had to fight against and a native English speaker answered right away. They were also knowledgeable and not just reading from a script. Definitely among the better customer service experiences I have had.
Brave is great for less techy people because it’s defaults are good enough. It’s not necessary to tweak settings and install add-ons to get basic privacy. I definitely prefer Firefox, but it takes some knowledge to get it to surpass Brave’s defaults.
They are not ready for regular use yet. Performance is poor and battery life is bad. It’s fun to play with my Pinephone and watch the software slowly improve, but there is no way I could use it as my primary phone.
Just wondering out here, cause Im really torn between these two. With Spotify family and Apple One I use both alternately and in both Im missing some parts that the other one have....
Apple Music because it doesn’t shove podcasts down my throat. I also prefer the algorithm on Apple Music over Spotify. Spotify is too safe by only recommending music that I already like, while I have discovered new genres that I now love from using Apple Music. Spotify is just too repetitive in my experience. I do miss the Discover Weekly playlist though. That was the one thing that helped me discover new music on Spotify.
I want to get away from audible to save money and for privacy. I would like to keep buying audiobooks if possible and host them on my server to stream to my android phone....
Audiobookshelf works great and is very easy to setup using Docker. I get most of my audiobooks through Downpour. They have a subscription that gives credits to redeem for audiobooks similar to Audible, but they are drm-free. I download the audiobooks and move them to my NAS that has Audiobookshelf running on it. Audiobookshelf has a web client and apps for Android and iOS (TestFlight beta).
These are all products that I legitimately like and want to engage with, but linking them all to a single account and more importantly a shared recommendation engine feels very flawed....
I am using a Savor One as my daily driver. It’s an excellent card and the 3% in groceries and dining covers two of my largest spend categories so it’s a great fit....
I would recommend a catch-all card that earns 2% cash back on everything like the Wells Fargo Active Cash or FNBO Evergreen. They are both Visa cards as well.

Firefox for syncing with my other devices, but all the iOS web browsers are different skins over WebKit. I do like that Safari has support for extensions and wish Apple would allow other browsers to utilize them as well.
