If you're in the Melbourne area, have a networking background, and have worked or would like to work in an MSP environment, shoot your shot with the company I work for
This #TuneTuesday the theme is #SingIt, songs with lyrics that had an impact on you. I've got a couple I want to share.
The first is Better Days, by SuperM. This came out in 2020, during the lockdowns and all the wild times that happened. Times were dark and the song gave a bit of hope.
The second is Poison by Loïc Nottet. His whole Selfocracy album really was very impactful. Poison talks about how your own mind is poison, how your doubts and quest for perfection can bring you down. Being neurodivergent with lots of internalised hate it took me a bit to realise the poison I had inside.
Ten and Taeyong dropping a tiktok of them dancing together in studio - bitch that better be a hint we're getting a new TaeTen stage this year cause TAETEN SUPREMACY and I will lose my mind
For #KpopMonday theme #ThenAndNow I'm going to go with my ult, who hasn't officially debuted as a soloist, just in groups, but has released solo songs:
Ten - New Heroes (technically Dream in a Dream was first, but that was more performance/dance and New Heroes is a full song) https://youtu.be/VM-g_bkFdzo
I've been meaning to post this so since it's #vgmwednesday here we go - fitting the theme of #VideoGameVocals we have Build That Wall from the game #Bastion, which has one of the most beautiful soundtracks. I actually used this song at my wedding for the bride and groom dance
Listening through SHINee's new album HARD and every time Taemin sings it's like getting a warm hug and I just keep thinking "I missed his voice so much". So glad they're all done with their military service now.
Anyway, my favourite might change but current frontrunner is Gravity, though Satellite is fighting it out
Another #JukeboxFridayNight#ThatFirstTime is from attending the first ever PAX East. At the time I hadn't yet heard of any of the musical acts that played at the concert, but I was utterly delighted by all of them and have been a fan since. It introduced me to a whole world of nerdy music I hadn't known existed. There were lots of groups that played but I'll shout out @mc_frontalot because he definitely left the biggest impression on me.
There are so many songs to choose from (please check them out!) but this is one of my favourites:
