The water entering the Nehru Zoological Park has been found to be contaminated with heavy metals such as nitrates and molybdenum. This contamination poses serious health risks to zoo animals, making them more vulnerable to kidney and other.
🇬🇧 Today I was with my family in a small #zoo#AnimalPark. I was taking a leisurely stroll when I saw a certain family, it was immediately obvious that they were pathological... What did they do first? They stood in front of the sign "please do not feed the animals" and started giving salted sticks to the lemurs 🤦♂️🤬

We took a trip to the Lincoln Park Zoo today and saw the Wetland exhibit in the Birdhouse. Not the best photos but thought it would be a good contribution to #MarshMadness :)

#Flaco, the Eurasian eagle-owl whose escape from the #CentralParkZoo & subsequent life on the loose in #Manhattan captured the public’s attention, died Fri night after apparently striking a building on the Upper West Side, ofcls said.
The #Wildlife#Conservation Society, which operates the #zoo, said in a statement that Flaco had been found on the ground after hitting a building on West 89th Street.
Building residents contacted the #WildBirdFund, a #rescue org, whose staff members responded quickly, retrieved him & declared him dead a short time later, the society said.
#Zoo employees took him to the #BronxZoo, where a necropsy will be performed to determine the cause of death. He would have turned 14 next month.
Das sind süße Regenbogenloris, die sah ich zuletzt im Alltwetterzoo in Münster. Der Besuch lohnte sich auf jeden Fall. Man kann sie sogar füttern und sie machen es sich sogar auf dem Kopf gemütlich. Voll niedlich
