there might be lots of people who just can't be socially holistic at all

there are a lot of people who look like me, and who laugh like me, and have the same motives and desires as me

but i'm a unique experience that can never be fully replaced, i'm more than just my traits, i'm how those traits interact and complement each other, even how they collide with each other, the way they fight, the resolutions they come to

i'm an entire person that's been living my life since the beginning, same as the rest, and there is a cosmic significance in the cosmic insignificance

there might be so many people who see somebody's traits in somebody else and think they can Get Them Back in a way

the differences just stand out even more

people aren't replaceable. losing someone does hurt and the unique impression each person leaves you can't be identical to another

capitalism actively disincentivizes this way of thinking, it requires a class of struggling people to survive and puts them in a state of "moral obligation to try harder", and takes the energy you have to fight the elites and instead encourages you to fight with, i dunno, your roommates breathing down your neck about rent, your one friend who needs financial help way more than anyone you've ever met, your peers and allies in general

to avoid fighting the wrong people is a constant inner battle worth waging because the true enemy affects them too

once you recognize all people deserve to survive and no amount of preventable deaths is acceptable, everything simply makes sense

this year was really difficult for me, despite making some of my greatest progress with art and as a person, so much has held me back since the year began

i hope next year i can get on top of my life situation, and make the art i love to make more frequently

here are some of my favorite things from this year, even a few unfinished things I never posted here
