The dams have been damaging the ecosystem in the area. www.latimes.com/…/klamath-river-restoration Probably not a big deal overall, but that area is big on environmentalism.

Salmon like to live in the ocean and lay their eggs in freshwater, so they make the journey upstream. Plus, there’s all the other animals that try to catch salmon on their way up the river.

Also the dams were built without consent of any of the Native American tribes in the area, so that was kind of a big deal.

I was so excited to buy a condo with a fireplace. I haven’t built a fire in years, it just doesn’t get cold enough here.

In Linux, I used Input Remapper github.com/sezanzeb/input-remapper to configure my Microsoft mouse buttons. I never tried it with a virtual machine, so I’m not sure about that.

And yes, forward and back were really annoying settings for it.

So it seems obvious that the US dept of Homeland Security would include a Meta rep on their AI Safety and Security Board. But they didn’t.

Don’t get me wrong, I hate Facebook/Instagram/Meta, but I appreciate their contribution to AI.

Trump pretty much knows they’ll rule against him, but it doesn’t matter, he got what he wanted. It delayed his Washington trial until possibly after the election, when he’ll be able to pardon himself.

I can’t believe people are voting for a guy who has to pardon himself as soon as he gets sworn into office. This country deserves whatever it gets.

I imagine he could escape jail time, for this case at least. I think the judge will probably suspend his sentence or give probation, but hopefully he still gets the felony conviction. That’s what swing voters are going to care about.

I cared for my parents with dementia, so I know the signs. Trump is staying mentally engaged(thanks to the legal system) which slows its progress, but he definitely has some form of dementia. I don’t think he’ll be in any shape to run in '28.

I just don’t get it. Even if it were my own party’s candidate, I wouldn’t contribute money if it was just all going to legal bills. And it’s not just for his defense either. He’s launching appeal after appeal, and he doesn’t care because it’s not his money.

But on the bright side, that’s less money going to televangelists, firearms, and pickup truck lift-kits.

That’s insane. Why would any swing voter vote for someone with this much debt and this many legal problems? Courtrooms and fundraising (for himself) are his full time job right now. It’s hard to see how he could handle a side hustle being president.

I don’t think he’s going to get many takers on that 5% thing. A lot of ‘winners’ he’s picked recently have gotten crushed, so I don’t think too many Repubs are going to be hurting without his endorsement.
