Good morning!

Rather chilly this morning into this evening, which means it’s nearly normal/average.

I just looked it up.
We are a little low for the high 63 vs 72 and low 50 vs 54.

I finally got my return sent to Amazon. I wish I’d known I could schedule a UPS pick up for a fee.

It’s on its way now! ☺️

I need to check the planters outside. See if they need watering.

Oh!

We’ve had a lot of rain here recently.
A lot.
To the point my hobbit like apartment has had humidity levels of between 65-85%.
My uncarpeted floors are damp and sticky when I walk across them.
Thank goodness I’m a good tenant.
The complex only has one dehumidifier for maintenance to use after leaks in apartments.
It’s currently running in mine.
The rain gifted me yesterday, though.
I don’t have RAW files so my son can’t make them look great but one photo from yesterday:

When I drove up my driveway yesterday I thought oh, lord, there’s a rattle snake and almost didn’t get out to look. But I did, and it was a pacific gopher snake. 🥰🥰. The medallion on its head is a defining feature. We also have bull snakes, another kind of gopher snake with big jaws, that strikes like a rattler. One scared me in the chicken house a few years ago.

Rough textured tan snake with brown and black spots. No rattle. Medallion on its head led me to identify as a pacific gopher snake.

Anybody still arguing the bad economic feelings are just media induced vibes when there are plenty of data points to the contrary has nothing useful to say.

The richest 10% own 2/3 and over 55 own 3/4 of household wealth, and their spending is driving current consumption. Meanwhile, personal debt, late bills, and other signs of stress are going up for everyone else. Homelessness is way up.

If you still need a clue, you don't want to know the answer.

I have some cheap charms.

Wear it, wear everything you can every time you can.

Pandora bracelet all polished.

I like jewelry.

From a blown glass or rose quartz heart on a leather thong necklace, to a large, flashy sapphire cocktail ring, I like my jewelry.

I save money & when I find it, I buy it.

All of that to say I used to wear a lot of rings Teen son said, you’re going to be “an old lady with all of those rings.”

So I immediately dropped to 3, at most.

Now I’m layering silver bracelets.
Only one bangle.

Can’t wait to hear it from him at 36.

It probably would have been better if I had waited until after I polished my somewhat dull Pandora Silver bracelet to put it on, huh?

I kept waiting for my son to help me and I finally said, fork it, I can do it myself, (why do I hear a two year old?) and put it on.

I had put the purple clown glass beads on it, clown? blown, glass beads on it and just could not WAIT to wear it.

Now I have to take it off.

Another product photographed today, but not tested yet (I had to charge it up first) is a USB-C charged, cordless portable coffee grinder, the Discovery II from Staresso.

I will honestly be surprised if it has the sustained torque to grind coffee, and do more than one or two 18g batches. Grinders need a LOT of torque to work. Even using a powerful cordless drill sometimes stutters on manual grinders.

It’s been a wonderful day.

After puttering and resting yesterday, today I was productive.

All of the laundry is done, the sink is almost empty, dishwasher has been run, and my kitchen table is closer to being ready to do crafts on. The inside and outside plants have been tended to.
My son helped me put a cheap “clip on” plant light over the sansiverias because they just stopped doing everything when they lost their light.

I don’t like them at all, as a general rule.

Sometimes I get lucky.

I received an email from Family Search concerning my relatives listed in “find a grave.”

I really hadn’t done much there.

Found 6th great grandparents buried in hometown. Never knew that!

Found 5th great grandpa McCallum from Scotland.

For an adoptee, this is a goal mine.

I’ve had identity issues my entire life. If this is a way to help? So be it.

I’ve been in a grief funk since the first of the year and very lazy about housework.

The kitchen countertops were covered in unwashed dishes and and there’s some litter strewn about the rest of the house.

The countertops are now clean and I’m starting to chip away at the rest of the mess.

Might even get some groceries and stop eating expensive delivery food for every meal.
