This is rational from China’s perspective. Divesting in the American technology pipeline not only weakens America’s grip on the global economy but also positions China as the leader in global technology.

Also, we have more evidence of US putting back doors into technology than we do China. If you’re living in the imperial core, it’s far more likely that the US is monitoring your activities than China is.

Okay hear me out. What if we all chipped in 5 bucks to @firefox? How many people would it take to fund it well enough so they don’t have to do layoffs? I get it, the FOSS community wants the “F” part but we all should contribute some for good infrastructure. And the idea that search engine payments from Google is what keeps Firefox afloat should worry us all. We need browser engine diversity if the web is going to stay open and not littered with walled gardens any more than it already is.

I think there is an assumption that is rooted in how reddit worked, that votes are anonymous. People operating under that assumption might not like having that blanket ripped off. It would be different if it was up front from the start.

She is more than welcome to file a case with the ICJ if she’s distressed about the Uyghurs. One of these reporters speaking with the state department reps needs to ask that question directly. “Why haven’t we filed an ICJ case on behalf of the Uyghurs?”

‘If you read the order, by implication a ceasefire must happen’: South Africa

Speaking on the steps of the seat of the ICJ, Naledi Pandor, South Africa’s minister of international relations, tells reporters Israel will have to halt fighting in Gaza if it wants to adhere to the orders of the UN’s top court.

“How do you provide aid and water without a ceasefire?” Pandor said. “If you read the order, by implication a ceasefire must happen.”

Back in South Africa, senior officials welcomed the ruling.

“It’s a watershed judgement for all those who want to see peace in Palestine,” Fikile Mbalula, secretary-general of the ruling African National Congress party, told reporters.

That may very well be the implication, but implications come with interpretation, and I think we can all guess how this will be interpreted.

Is all wrestling , boxing matches really fake ?

I mean i understand some matches may be fixed but when two popular players fight would any of them want to be the loser ? And the damage looks very real or is the only fixed thing the outcome ? Maybe someone from the industrty can answer . Or am i missing something if so put it into the comments and i’ll edit the post.

Owen Heart died in the ring when his harness failed and he hit a turnstiles during an entrance. Undertaker had his face scorched pretty bad and had to perform through it. It isn’t just the in ring stunts that do damage. Its a live stunt performance, and its all very dangerous.

This isn’t new, interesting or noval information. If you run whats app from the desktop app or from web.WhatsApp.com on you’re browser on a PC then no shit they know your on your PC
