I’ve started watching a few more seasonal anime now that we’re halfway through:

  • Unnamed memory: was pretty fun, but the latest episode will need a damn good explanation, otherwise it just did a nosedive.
  • Konosuba S3: just good ol’ Konosuba. I meant to start watching it from the beginning of the season, but somehow didn’t.
  • Many Sides of Radio Voice Actor: surprisingly more fun than I thought it would be. I thought it’d be more idol-like, but not really.

My favourites if this season so far are:

  • Sound! Euphonium S3: despite the unfortunate lack of playing music, it’s still really good. Character drama is top notch.
  • Konosuba S3: it’s just so funny. Great comedy.

I’m also still watching JoJo Golden Wind. It’s pretty underwhelming to be honest. Not bad, but I’m not enjoying myself as much as the previous parts.

They could invest in their own domestic animators instead of paying them scraps while demanding a lot. Maybe they’d stick around then and you won’t need to outsource anymore.

Mijn ervaring is echter wel dat naafdynamo’s minder snel stuk gaan dan dynamo’s aan het wiel. Ook vind ik ze minder zwaar met fietsen en vooral ook veel stiller

Er zijn wel een aantal, zoals een extra belastingschijf voor middeninkomens en een lager eigen risico (zonder erbij te garanderen dat dit niet hand in hand gaat met een verhoging van de premie), maar die blijven vaag. Lijkt vooral te gaan over bestaanszekerheid van bedrijven…

Klinkt heel goed, maar dit mag dan absoluut niet gepaard gaan met een verhoging van de zorgpremie, dan heeft het alsnog geen effect. En laat dat nou net niet genoemd worden.

Naast wat al genoemd is maak ik me zorgen over deze dingen:

  • ze willen de Wiv actualiseren en meer bevoegdheden voor inlichtingsdiensten, ofwel, de sleepwet. Hier kreeg ik echt rillingen van. Zeg maar doei tegen privacy.
  • terugdraaien van minimumloonverhoging
  • btw-verhoging culturele sector

Zeker waar, maar alleen als het voor iedereen 165 euro wordt en er dus geen keuze is om het te verhogen zoals nu. Als de maximale eigen risico nog steeds zo hoog blijft verandert er niet veel vrees ik. Dan zullen de meesten nog steeds kiezen voor de hogere eigen risico, omdat dat qua maandelijkse lasten dan beter te dragen is.

Dat zijn allemaal cruciale details als het hier op aan komt

No particular OP has stood out to me in a good way this season. I like Mysterious Disappearances’ and Astro Note’s OPs the most, but nothing I love. Same for EDs.

A few have stood out in a bad way though. I’m quite disappointed in Spice & Wolf’s OP. It starts out good, but once it builds up it loses me. It’s not a bad song (though not my thing), but not a good fit either. Tbf though, the original’s OPs are god like OPs, so that’s hard to match. I also really don’t like Kaiju no.8’s ED. It’s just bog standard and really generic western pop with (imo) no real distinguising properties that could easily be confused with many other western pop songs. I wonder if Japanese people sometimes think that way about Japanese OPs.

Date A Live being so high up is wild. Last ep was pretty good, but that good?

I had seen people making a big deal about how they got OneRepublic to do the ED,

Yeah same, probably because it’s apparently a big western pop artist and we’re obviously not used to western artists making OPs or EDs. I can’t really imagine that it’d be hard to get them to do a song though. The label’s probably part of the production committee, so it’s just a matter of asking and offering enough money.

At least the OP makes a much stronger impression on me, though I could see how it is polarizing with its extremely stylized CG visuals.

Yeah, I like the OP better too. I don’t mind the visuals at all and the song’s okay.

I’m super excited for this. I thought Zoku was the final anime we got of this franchise (even though I knew there was more).

I’ll need to rewatch everything, but can’t say I don’t look forward to that.
