'Victor Noir is more famous for his death and his grave than for his life. To mark his grave, a bronze statue of the man lying down as if just shot was erected. This statue has since become something of a fertility symbol.
Due to the style of the sculpture there is a fold in Noir’s trousers which make him appear to be aroused. Myth says that placing a flower in the top hat after kissing the statue on the lips and rubbing its genital area will enhance fertility.'

Artist Heather Dewey-Hagborg takes DNA taken from chewed up gum, cigarette buds, and nail clippings she finds in public places(Brooklyn) to reproduce people’s faces.

After extracting the DNA from her samples, she focuses on specific genomic regions, sequences them and then enters the data into a computer program, which produces a model of the face of the person who tossed that item onto the ground.

She then uses a 3D printer to create sculptures of the faces.

Kürzlich kam ich mit dem Zug durch Wuppertal.

Im Bahnhof gab es mal ein Fundbüro. Es ist schon lange geschlossen und verwahrlost. Tauben haben sich oberhalb des Ladens niedergelassen und eine dicke Kotschicht produziert, die niemand entfernt.

Ein trostloser Ort - wenn da nicht diese verwitterte und abblätternde Aufschrift wäre:
