Just because it can be written The original way doesn’t mean it should be. It’s like developers that use obscure or single letter variables instead of descriptive variables. Sure, you can write variables in an obtuse manner, but it’s better for everyone if you write them in a descriptive manner.
The difference is that Google+ was actually a wonderful product.
But a couple years down the line Google did what Google does and destroyed it from the inside making it worse and worse until it was just a shell of what it started out being.
If you were into tech, the tech people were amazing. Yonatan Zunger comes to mind. He was a backend engineer at Google and the guy was great.

The feed layout was awesome. The fact that everything got fed to rss. The fact that you could tailor posts so easily. God I miss it. Only social media I’ve ever really been a part of.

There is no fire. She lied. It happens. Sometimes people do stupid shit for clout. That doesn’t mean that you need to assume all women are lying when they claim sexual harassment.
What it does mean is that instead of believing all women without question, you should instead hear them out, then investigate, and if the evidence is there, then you support them and amplify their claims.
Supporting women can be expressed in demanding investigations into their claims.
Sometimes people lie. It’s very important that you understand this. Believing anyone without question is outright stupid. However clearly there is a trend with women being sexually harassed. Because that trend exists then that lends more credence to their claims. And they should be taken VERY seriously. The claims should not be dismissed, but investigated.
In this case, the claims were investigated and found to be untrue.
He did not resort to ad hominem. He didn’t say that you were stupid as shit therefore he is right, he said that your idea is stupid as shit and explained why.
And yes, your idea IS stupid as shit. You need to brush up on logical fallacies because it’s clear that you don’t actually understand how they work.
A very intelligent person can have some very stupid ideas. The fact that they are intelligent does not make their ideas intelligent as well. Referring to an idea as stupid is not the same as referring to the progenitor as stupid.
You do not understand how logical fallacies work. This is demonstrated by your responses.
Furthermore, saying the equivalent of x person is smart therefore they are right and as a result I am right because I invoked person x is an appeal to authority.

I also spun up my own yacy instance. It was pretty terrible. It could be good, but you would need a pretty beefy machine with a lot of storage and a lot of time for it to index for it to be anything approaching good.

The 1st amendment ONLY allows you to say what you like and not have the government prosecute you for it. However, there are still limits to speech that cannot be prosecuted.

Also you don’t have to have a pi to run a pi hole. You can run it in windows using WSL. Just search Google for pi hole WSL. All you do is run the power shell script and it does practically everything for you
