I was going to replace the battery on K's mobile, but the battery still has lots of juice in it and I'd like to discharge it heavily before removing and disposal.
Normally it seems a battery never has enough capacity until you want it to be empty. Funny it's swelling up like a balloon but still has good performance.
Got some video streaming and ten apps open and the flashlight function going. Hope that drains it for me.
Have you heard this from the Conservatives or your annoying family member?
"In a press release, the Conservatives argued that given their proposed tax break, the average Canadian family could save $670 this summer with people in Alberta saving the most at $955 per family."
To save that much, people would have to drive 37,000 kilometres during their holidays. 37,000 kilometres!!!!!
One of my least favourite things about Ottawa is that everyone expects you to have a car and be able to just drive to wherever to do whatever. Not my friends, but the general population. It's just so gross.
Squeezed in a four km walk before noon, as it'll be warmer this afternoon, and there's not a cloud in the sky. By the end of the walk we were watching for the streets with shade trees to alter our route.
Guess it's that season to follow the weather choosing grey or drizzley days for the best walking.
@ottaross
We also did some gardening yesterday. It was teasing that it would rain, but we got it done without getting poured on. Tomorrow I don't have to get dirty in the yard so I can just relax after breakfast.
A month ago I cancelled my lost Presto card and ordered a new card to replace it. I still haven't received the new card. Went to order another replacement and I get this useless error: "Technical exception occurred. Please try again later." WTF?
Do they want people to use transit or not?
@lanastewart
I've easily worked in a dozen different buildings over the years, and only 2 had indoor bike parking at the time I worked there. Many don't even have a secure area at all, it's outside locked to whatever shitty rack they bothered to install. Frustrating how bad we are at this.
@lanastewart
I'll be going from 1 day/month to 3 days/week at some point. For the once a month I go to Portage which does have a bike room. But for RTO3, we have no idea where we'll be reporting too. We need to conjure up some office space from somewhere while PdP3 is under construction.
On the revert reds, TWICE this week I had revert reds happen to me (once I rolled off the dots too soon and the other I wasn't in the right place and forgot I wouldn't get my signal that way) and BOTH TIMES the motorists at the cross streets waved me to go through the intersection anyway. It was very nice.
I think that the first time (Kenilworth/Holland) the guy saw me swear up a storm when I saw it revert red lol
@ksawatsky@dairpo@casseagull
All turns should be banned while there's a walk signal on. I've had way too many close calls even when the driver had a green light (but not the right of way, but many drivers think green = go no matter what.)
@dairpo
I've actually been thinking about trying out compressed hours. Half my team already does it, so it's likely to be approved if I ask.
At lest until RTO3 kicks in, no idea how that could muck up a compressed schedule.
