I’d never heard of this game but I’m planning a playthrough of this hack. The developer put in a ton of work and I’ve enjoyed 90% of the HAL games I’ve played.
This looks like a major update to a well-established improvement hack. A retranslation with ability name changes, more detailed maps, and that Bishop softlock bug should be long stomped.
Hi. I’ve been afraid of all non-human life since before I could remember. I got past it, mostly, but I’ve never gotten over the fact that animals can’t speak what they mean....
gImageReader is a graphical front-end to the open-source OCR program Tesseract, so that might be just what you’re looking for. The default settings don’t add the OCR’d text to the PDF but you can do that.
The mixture is my point. Some things are better. Some things are worse. I specified for women because the backlash against woke has already hurt women badly.
So, I’m a big JPRG fan and just playing through Mother 3. I love Mother 2 (aka Earthbound) as well. I love the music, quirkiness, style, pacing, simple yet rewarding tactics in boss battles....
I’ve been invited to join a game of Daggerheart. I like the critical role people, but otherwise know nothing about the game. I haven’t read much about it or anything yet. And I haven’t seen a thread about it on Lemmy yet, so I’m wondering what the different opinions on it so far are....
Looking at the blog post Shyfer found, Pathfinder 2e and Daggerheart diverge from D&D 5e in opposite directions. PF2e puts a lot of emphasis on game balance, battlemat tactics, and specific named actions. Daggerheart looks to be quite loose with rules and trying to be cinematic rather than balanced.
They could both be good games, but Final Fantasy Tactics isn’t going to scratch that Dynasty Warriors itch or vice versa.
Dragon Quest has lost both its composer and its designer within two and a half years. I assume Dragon Quest XII is far enough along to complete and release, but this might be the end of the series.
I’ve installed gentoo but there seems like there’s so many sacrifices. I love that it’s all open source, but I really don’t mind closed source software now and then, because after all I would be using it to play closed source games. The biggest compromise I’ve observed is the very long build times. I have a lukewarm...

From your other responses, this is a system issue not a problem with the website.
Lemmy.world’s code has this font list for sans-serif: system-ui,-apple-system,“Segoe UI”,Roboto,“Helvetica Neue”,“Noto Sans”,“Liberation Sans”,Arial,sans-serif,“Apple Color Emoji”,“Segoe UI Emoji”,“Segoe UI Symbol”,“Noto Color Emoji”
I’d use the dev tools to check which font is being rendered. I’m on Windows so I get Segoe UI, which I find entirely acceptable.
So this isn’t directly related to patientgaming but my hardware and personal tastes kind of filter me to playing games no newer than five years old....
I’d also like a good answer. I feel like the author would say “you don’t even roll to vault a railing, you just do it”. But that still leaves a complicated but rehearsed high-wire routine versus “I run on water”. I wonder if the author would simply say no?
Even UTF-16 used by Windows isn’t fair because it needs twice as much space for hieroglyphs. Won’t someone think of the ancient Egyptians?
Seriously, now that most display systems can handle putting accents on letters instead of needing a code point just for á, a new universal encoding would be nice. Purge it of Unicode’s precomposed letters, duplicated Chinese characters, and duplicated-in-retrospect letters and you could fit another few alphabets into Plane 0.
But convincing tech companies to make webpages bigger seems difficult.
This title is a play on words, meaning “leave Mac owners short change”. That is, not having as many coins as they assumed they had. Usually you are short change because you had a little less money with you than you thought, but with malware involved they mean theft.
It’s difficult. I didn’t understand the headline until reading the summary. “Short-changed” means not getting everything you purchased. It originally meant not getting all your change from paying with a larger bill. For example, if you used a $5 bill to buy $2.20 worth of snacks and got $2.75 back, you were short-changed.
Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars might work. It’s going to be difficult (fear the spear) and you’ll want to use those items, but it is overall easier than Chrono Trigger. And it has a remake coming out soon with some system changes.
Final Fantasy Mystic Quest was intended for your situation, but it’s balanced in all the ways you dislike.
Otherwise, possibly the very easiest remakes of old games like the Final Fantasy 4 Pixel Remaster.
I helped for the battles and reading the dialogues but he did all the exploring by himself. He’s so thrilled, but also sad it’s over. Now I’m hesitant between Pokemon FireRed (he loves Pokemon but that a lot more text to read) or PaperMario TTYD (but we don’t have a switch for the remaster version). Any other ideas for...
Dragon Quest is the OG for a reason. The remakes are a lot less grindy and don’t use ye olde Englysshe so they would be easier to read but less educational.
I assume they’re trying to model Islamic dynasties exploding out of the desert or steppe or mountains, conquering a big empire, and then fragmenting or falling to a similar explosion. In that light high house unity blocking instead of enabling strong CBs sounds backwards. Seems like you’d want high house unity to enable strong CBs, but house unity should be extremely difficult to sustain as the house grows and spreads out.
I’ve been playing a lot of inscryption and while kaycee’s mod is fun, it can get a little boring after a while. Is there anything that will scratch that itch? (that’s not magic the gathering, too predatory)....
Seems to vary depending on whether I’m attempting to listen to music on my device (“attempting to” is the right word as it takes 15 seconds to load each individual song as it goes through a playlist) or listen to a YouTube video. It can go further into the background if it’s music on my device, no further back than a big window drawn over the screen if it’s a podcastable video, and must be in the foreground for a video IIRC.
