The admins on lemmynsfw.com have decided to allow "non-IRL loli", i.e. drawn porn involving children/teenagers. (Post: https://lemmynsfw.com/post/29633)....
I mean, I assume it’s real. But I went there out of curiosity and they share these - sometimes obvious - fake articles or Instagram photos as “proof” that Ukrainians are all nazis. It’s all so silly, I can’t phantom the idea that it’s not just satire. Unlike China they have internet access to everything in Russia,...
Is there any good way to search for magazines/communities accross different federated sites?
I was trying to search for communities, but ended up trying to type out the names for said communities in links because it was quite a bit faster.
You can download the most current version directly from GitHub. It's newer than the app stores. There's now a bunch of buttons including replying and up/down voting.
It should be noted somewhere on the login screen, maybe with an asterisk, that beehaw.org is not fully federated, restricted, however it needs to be termed.
I still see posts from other instances on beehaw communities, and it makes me wonder: If those posts can't be seen by the mods, then is there simply no moderation possible for them (other than the instance owner, I guess)?
I might be wrong. But I think we lemmy. world users still see Beehaw because we have old versions of everything locally. But we can still interact with it. The example you shared is a local user so that kinda tracks?

How does moderation of defederated communities work?
I still see posts from other instances on beehaw communities, and it makes me wonder: If those posts can't be seen by the mods, then is there simply no moderation possible for them (other than the instance owner, I guess)?
