Sorry to hear of the passing of iconoclastic [for lack of a better word] indie rock figure Steve Albini. I have friends who recorded and hung out with him and although I disagree with some of his hotter takes, I’m sad for their loss and that of the greater #music community

My brother and show comrade had a pretty clever theory for the theme- technological advancement in digital graphic design. Yesterday was the 90’s. Tracks with the Myst/ Naboo aesthetic of the Mike’s Song, for example.
Anyone with graphic design skill and time want to partner in a merch concept? Imagine t shirts (or hoodies, hats, etc) with images of major jam-adjacent concert venues (Hampton, MSG, MPP, Deer Creek, the Gorge, etc). They would have the original names and be done in the style of vintage concert art, including font. Why has nobody done this yet? I’ll take 5% for the idea.
My #BakersDozen is insane because it includes no Coltrane or Miles or Phish, which are three of my fav artists by a longshot. Oh well, at least I spent zero time thinking about it!
Briefly took stewardship of this sweetie today (she followed me home when I was out pushing my 2 year old in the stroller; it found her owners shortly after taking this pic). I still love our cat but it really made me miss having a dog.
