A huge bucket of family drama was upended on me yesterday and when I sat down to write about it, I got all vague and glossed over it, even though I probably need to get it out somehow. I trust the people in my life not to read my journal but seemed like a risk or even a betrayal of confidence to put the words down....

I use to but stopped for the longest till I went digital. Partly because I’ve had people read my paper journals in the past. For a while I kept two… one as a decoy.

I’m working on getting back into Journaling again but have been having a hard time finding the one right for me. I found a few that let me use my own handwriting (surface pro), but they upload everything to a cloud. Which I don’t want because A) I’m not going to be sharing my journal and B) I don’t want to have to pay...

I'm constantly baffled by my coding professor suggesting stackoverflow to students for asking questions because of the experience I am seeing others have there. The new ones are always downvoted and the only reply usually just calls the person stupid. I'd just kinda accepted that this was the culture I was going to matriculate into when I graduate.

I still firmly believe one of the worst things to happen to the internet, besides pop-up ads, is up and down votes. Nothing exposes a misanthrope quicker than forcing them to comment instead of passively downvoting everything they see. Which makes it easier to remove them from the party.

Digital. I have nosey kids. I keep my journal password protected on my tablet they don't use. Before my nosey kids, it was a nosy ex or my mom or siblings. It's nice to be able to do this again.

I also can handwrite my journal and make collages much easier. like for my fantasy house/garden.
