Putin isn’t the same man he was even a few years ago, but one thing hasn’t changed over the decades — he views Glasnot and the fall of the Soviet Union as the worst thing to ever happen to Russia and a mistake caused by the weakness of those in power.
There isn’t one. The latitude isn’t the only reason either; the jet stream over the Atlantic moderates the European climate. Meanwhile in places like Minnesota and Buffalo you oscillate between -30°F with 48” of snow in 24 hours in January to 100°F with 90% relative humidity in August. If construction were poor and insulation was substandard, people would die.
Most of Europe doesn’t have a/c for the same reason a lot of Seattle and SF don’t — it’s never been necessary.
Rudy’s not one of these ultra rich people, though. Most estimates put him between $20-40 million net worth. That’s very wealthy, for sure; but nowhere near the ultra rich.
Remember when he had a crack team of people investigating Obama’s birth certificate in Hawaii and we “wouldn’t believe what they’re finding” fun stuff.
I’m tired of buying a new 12 V battery every 1-2 years. I have about 4 small (rated ~ 300 W [not VA]) UPSes with 7 Ah, 12 V, maintenance free batteries....
What is the theory of the case on how he loses the GOP primary? He’s polling higher than the rest of the field combined. At this time, unless he dies before the election, I don’t see how he doesn’t end up as the Republican nominee.
It doesn’t. I get the appeal, but he is not charged with anything that falls under the clause nor is he likely to be charged with such. Historical and legal precedent requires a finding in law of such violation for the clause to be applicable. It’s wishcasting.
It took a pretty big downward turn when the exodus of founders and longtime staff occurred a couple years ago. Ezra Klein, Matt Yglesias, Dara Lind, and Jane Coaston leaving were all major hits that the place never recovered from.
Hell, they took a bunch of Sam Bankman-Fried’s money and then reported on how cool effective altruistically is.
In the past, angsty youth might have complained, but their living standards were still better than previous generations.
What’s different now, is most youth are actually experiencing multiple issues that are new, and caused by policy choices from older generations in government.
And yet, these youth still experience a higher standard of living than any generation before them.
And isnt this part of that bullshit “make america great again”?
Yup
Indiana is a shithole, as someone from the Upper Midwest/Great Lakes Region/Rust Belt, I can confidently say that place is the worst state in the entire section of the country. It makes Ohio look good.
