This week for we have another that .

This one I would rate as medium. This heavily armored dinosaurs skull is very recognizable.

Almost ready for my
Here you see my trailer. Its tiny, and designed to be towed by a motor bike. So my hatch doesnt even feel it there when i tow it.
On the front (not shown) is a box with the spare wheel, Jerry can of water, Two gas bottles, a cooking stove and assorted tools to setup camp.
On top is a 100W solar panel.
Inside we have 2 deep cycle batteries and inverter. Cooking supplies in the black tub. My tent, bedding and bed are in front of that.
All of it locks up :D

Tech bros will try to convince you that these probabilistically generated pixels are art and that you want to pay money for them. But the people who will pay money for them are not buying the fakes as art but to decorate out other stuff to make them look like they're worth more so they can sell to gullible consumers... The recent fake rat fig that got published in an academic article is a great illustration of this. The publisher is selling your libraries articles padded with fake figs.

TheDinosaurDave,
@TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win avatar

@drmambobob wait what? Someone published an AI generated figure? Or did the publication add some AI nonsense into it?

TheDinosaurDave,
@TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win avatar

@drmambobob jaysus... This is insane. Every day im wanting some kind of tech-pocalypse to clean slate everything back to the early 00s when the internet was no where near as fkd up as it is now. It was still fkd up, but today is next level dystopian insanity.

TheDinosaurDave,
@TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win avatar

@drmambobob And the thing is there too many people out there that just dont care. The techbro dickheads are too self absorbed to see or care about the damage theyre doing. The general population of morons dont think it effects them so they give zero shits.
To me the world has reached the tipping point where i no longer want to be online. I no longer want to deal with all that shit. But at the same time, cutting it off is impossible.
Now its corrupting science as well we are doomed as a species

Raphus cucullatus, or the Dodo, lived on an island near Madagascar called Mauritius.

Dutch sailors were the first people known to describe these birds in 1598. They were up to 70 cm tall, flightless. The last known recorded sighting was in 1662.

Their extinction can be traced to over hunting by humans, and to introduced species decimating their breeding grounds. This is because Dodos had no known predators on the island, so were relatively docile.

This one I would rate as easy. This was one of the most well known extinct animals.

Reminder: hide your answer behind a content warning. This will allow others to guess without a hint. I will post the answer tomorrow (and to anyone who guesses correctly).

@quinsibell Used to work for coles years ago, they have zero respect for their staff as the managers never take responsibility for their actions, and instead they blame anyone and everyone else. Glad to get out of that toxic dumpster fire

Originally found in 1941 by a crew consisting of J. Willis Stovall, his student Wann Langston Jr, and Donald E. Savage in the Kirtland Formation. Sadly the exact location is lost.

Found in fine-grain shale, it was originally thought to be too fragile for display.

In 1998 Thomas Lehman described the specimen as an overly large Pentaceratops.

In 2011 it was reclassified as part of Triceratopsini and renamed Titanoceratops ouranos

Holotype restored based on Pentaceratops

As with all early fossils, there is a long story to its discovery and naming. While credited to Gideon Mantell, some say his wife, Mary Ann found the first teeth in 1822. He supports this version of events in 1827, and 1833. But says she did not in 1851.

Either way, the teeth were presented to the Royal Society of London in 1822, and they were dismissed as either fish or rhinoceros teeth.

TheDinosaurDave,
@TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win avatar

After naming Megalosaurus William Buckland visited Mantell's collection and recognized the bones as saurian, though he still thought they were not a herbivore.

In June 1824 Cuvier admitted he was wrong and the teeth were saurian, and this resulted in the immediate acceptance of Mantell and his fossils.

TheDinosaurDave,
@TheDinosaurDave@sauropods.win avatar

In September 1824 Mantell visted the Royal College of Surgeons to try and identify the teeth. Samuel Stutchbury recognised them as looking similar to an iguana he just prepared, although far larger.

In 1825 Iguanodon was named and publish. But no specific name was given.

In 1829 Friedrich Holl added the specific 'anglicum' to give Iguanodon the proper binomial.

Todays new is a from the . Named , its name means "Dragon of the north Yanmen Pass". This is a reference to near where the fossil was found. Its specific name "ultimus" is a reference to it being one of the last stegosaurid.

Now I dont have access to the paper (but if u do send it my way please), but thanks to a reddit post I do have access to some of the figures (attached).

You can see a few caudal vertibrae, the publis, and some vertebral ribs

Lets look at Broncherry.

Firstly, lets note its obvious sauropod style body, long upright neck, medium length tail, four pillar like legs, but with a relatively oversized head. The head is obviously because of the art style.

@ladyteruki In one of the Palworld facebook groups, theres a tiny minority of people complaining its not a murder simulation like ark. Where if you step outside your base you will die.
My resposnse "most people are not into a hyper paranoid game where its actively hates you. And thats coming from someone with 4k hrs in ark"

@gay_ornithischians I dont necessarily disagree. But ive played games that are worse. All I will say say some of the mods in ark survival were jenky. But i can handle that.
