The term is quite over used in my opinion, it is very often used in hyperbole. Whether it is in terms of popularity and driving traffic to a website or a threat said to break the Internet, it doesn’t seem to live up to the meaning of the term.
He doesn’t care about his car, so why should he care about somebody else’s property? Way to many people think like this, that’s why they fail the shopping cart test.
I have a Hongdian Black Forest EF and I love the EF nib in particular. I find the Black Forest a little too slender in my hand to be comfortable for long writing sessions, so I’m wondering what other Hongdian pens (with an EF nib) people would recommend I try?
You drove and pulled up to the gas station to fill your gas tank. You exited your vehicle, opened your gas tank cover, grabbed and put the dispenser nozzle in. You also had to pay at some point....
In the US and other countries you can lock the noozle and fill up without holding the hoze. In EU you need to hold the hoze to fill up or press a button when you need LPG. It’s pretty hard to forget something when you’re standing next to it. (And still some people manage to do just that)
I’m no morning person either. I just set a timer on the radio (when I sleep trough it I’m to exhausted) and I take about 2h before leaving for work. I’m just a liability on the road when I leave without waking up slowly.
[update, solved] It was apparmor, which was lying about being inactive. Ubuntu’s default profile denies bind write access to its config directory. Needed to add /etc/bind/dnskeys/** rw, reload apparmor, and it’s all good....
You need to include the files in the zone file. Bind 9.18.18 is a mess with the changed DNSSEC setup, it broke my domains as well. I’t isn the bind documentation, so I have to refer you there. I have no access to my setup now (or my browser history) as I’m not at my computer.
Edit: managed to get in dns.
named.conf.local: zonefile needa to be the .signed file the unsigned zone file must have both keys included, best is via absolute path:

I might be asking a rhetorical question here but I was curious as to the overall consensus on physical media. Do support it because, unlike streaming, media can’t take away what you’ve payed for? or are you against because it’s a waste of money when you can “acquire” it through “alternative means?” I’m also...
I haven’t bought new media in years. Last time I bougth new they were LP records, new pressings. For movies I just download or buy used, for music I almost always buy used and from time to time new when I really want to support the artist.
Yhe problem with limiting yourself to either pirate or just 1 type of medium is that you miss out on good stuff. At this moment I have music from every decade between 1890 and 2020 on LP, of which most will never be available digitally.
I own every outdated medium (alas, need to repair the 8-tracks) and the devices to use them. They hold music that’s most of the times not available via any other method.
The content is more valuable to me then the type of medium.
Yep, so you still need the old mediums. Also, analog sounds different from digital unless you take a very high sampling rate. (Some hear the diffeeence, same like some see the differense between HD and 4K and some don’t)
Remote root login is disabled by default, local root disabeling is useless anyway, as when you have acdess to the physical system you can break it open anyway.
What is bad about it? It’s as fool proof as the RedHat installer, unless you go to the expert text mode one. (And even that is pretty straight forward)
Same feeling, although on some systems you need the non-free firmware to complete the installation. No screen or network is a tad annoying when installing. ;)
I’ve been running Linux since I could afford a 386 in '94. (and learned years later a 386SX would have run it as well) Every time I need to work on Windows for an employer the 1st thing I do is find who can help mne fix windows when I break it. (I seem to be pretty good at that, although it doesn’t seem to be a huge skill)
I’m a Linux user since '94, the 1st Android phone I got (company phone) was rooted, the 1st one I bough ran Cyanogenmod and I even developed Cyanogenmod for my 2nd tablet. (1st was crap) yep, free software user. (and kind of developer)

When I don’t have the cash for a paintjob, I shouldn’t have bought the house (Yep, home owner here). I make way enough cash to have somebody paint my house. However, when I hire somebody to paint the house, I can’t spend the cash on hobbies I like to do or improve the house the way I want to.
At the moment however, finding somebody that is willing to paint a house is a huge challenge. You just can’t find the personel anymore to paint. Everybody want to be overhead and manage, nobody want to work. There is a hude shortage of skilled labour at the moment, so I’m very glad I can do it myself, inclouing the needed wood repair. (buying new window sills will cost about 25% of the current value of the house and they are ugly as all you can get is plastic)
in your opinion, what would meet the definition of "broke the Internet?"
The term is quite over used in my opinion, it is very often used in hyperbole. Whether it is in terms of popularity and driving traffic to a website or a threat said to break the Internet, it doesn’t seem to live up to the meaning of the term.

When people talk about returning the cart after shopping, does that include putting it in a corral, or do you have to take it all the way to the front of the store to be a good person?
