Everything done by the United States government before Trump was done under the liberal ideology. They’ve justified slavery and social security, the United Nations and support for military dictatorships, ethnic cleansing and the right to vote, all from valid use of that contradictory ideology. It’s filled with amazing ideas and terrible ideas that are all at war with one another.

The major problem with it for lemmy users is how much liberals support capitalism and imperialism. Both of these things are the source of most of our biggest problems, and liberals consistently fail to restrain themselves.

Can confirm. I have met transmasc people in person, and I felt so much more comfortable around them. The biggest sign that I was trans was how much I related to trans people before knowing they were trans. The only good cops are the ones who hate their job and quit. The people duped by propaganda into thinking cops were heroic knights for the people. Unfortunately, all knights were bastards too. The only difference is that the knights might fight each other on behalf of those lords. Capitalism was just the lords agreeing to share most of their knights.

Knights are inherently dishonorable, while nobility never did anything noble. Robinhood was based, while the knights were hogs. Batman is the ninja type “dark knight” in every sense. There’s a reason crime was always awful in Arkham City. Batman is a bastard.

There are some unique reasons that men are more lonely, even if we all are as well. They don’t show weakness to their friends or help each other out as much emotionally. The vast majority of men have no support network for this sort of thing. The bros will help out materially, but less so emotionally.

Capitalism is still more to blame than gender for lonely men, but they have an extra disadvantage. We all need societal change, but men have a harder time finding that sense of belonging than women. It’s how gangs, militaries, and fascists lure in boys. They promise a place for men, even if it’s as a disposable tool. Liberals used to promise men a place as successful workers, but that place has disappeared with the middle class, while fascists get to blame feminists for capitalism’s effects.

That ain’t everything. If he was just a cute dog saying “have a good Thursday,” I’d look forward to seeing him every week. Instead, he proudly tells me it’s Thursday every Wednesday. If it was just endearing, I’d love it, but because it’s more of a joke, it gets annoying after a while. Endearing stuff will never make me actively mad like an overused joke.

Him being wrong isn’t funny anymore. The only humor now comes at the expense of my annoyance. While it was fun finding ways to insult him, I’m mostly bored at this point. I don’t think I can salvage enjoyment out of it anymore.
