There was federation issues between beehaw.org and other instances that were finally resolved yesterday. I’m not sure if older posts will ever federate over.

Most issues like that seem to be related to caching issues after an update, clear your cache and/or Ctrl+F5 refresh should fix it.

In general tho there’s very few reports or issues, even as admins we barely seen any, and we get then for all reports made that involve a lemmy.ca community or user.

Unless there’s a good reason to have duplicate communities, it’s my opinion that they shouldn’t be needlessly fractured across different instances.

Thank you for the warm welcome. As @Smorks said there are many others behind the scenes that may or may not show up in the admin list over the next while.

We are currently actively preparing to transition the instance to a new dedicated server by the end of the weekend at the latest. We hope this higher powered server will be sufficient for the next few months but are ready with plans to scale up further when needed.

Unfortunately this means that there maybe some short periods of downtime over the weekend. We will make a post announcing planned downtime.

I have a report that this was resolved as of about an hour and a half ago.

From what I can see it’s already enabled!

Test it out and report back. The instance is being moved to a much beefier dedicated server this weekend so if it’s not currently working, we will make sure we enable that as part of the migration to the new server or soon after.

Did something related to DNS get deployed in the last little while?

Yes, putting the instance behind cloudflare to protect from DDoS.
