We live in a rural ish area 2-3 hours from DC and homes are going up like crazy. In the last 2 years there have been 3 or 4 100+ home subdivisions built. As I understand it though they are almost exclusively rentals owned by the builder themselves.
I can’t seem to find it now, but there is a story out there that earth is considered a lethal planet and the wider alien universe considered it unable to support life, or something like that. It was kind of a “never ending” book as it was constantly being added to.
It needs a good Xbox app for me to switch. I could deal with dlna, but my wife and daughter need the easier interface plex has, and unless I can at least partially match that I can’t switch.
I know purists will hate this, but much as I love Marvin Gaye, I think this is a great cover version. My GF says I’m a savage. She’s probably right....
I use lemmy pretty much exclusively on mobile, so I didn’t see the rule list when I was posting there. If I did I wouldn’t have bothered posting. To be honest it’s a stupid rule anyway. Any post that doesn’t support the echo chamber is immediate trolling and grounds for a ban? Stupid.
Keeping in mind I didn’t see the rules, I didn’t think it would be an issue to have a discussion about that specific instance and point out that it may not be the best example of what the sub is for. That’s why I found the body cam, watched it, and pointed out the specific time stamps that supported the article that was posted, and went against what the person I was talking with was saying. That same person who, it turns out, is also the mod that banned me. Yeah, I got snarky, but it was only on response to the snark that was directed at me first. And the ban happened after I posted the video proving the points that I was making.
