Exactly the same here too. As a teenager we also all pitched in on a CD burner when they first came out and kept it at the BBS’s owners place, I just remember a single CD took forever back then when it was 1x and 2x recording speed. That allowed us to share a ton more without everyone having to get together on the LAN.
I’ve added some instances to the instance filters, yet I continue seeing those instances. Is there something else that I need to do to block entire instances?
(Content warning, discussions of SA and misogyny, mods I might mention politics a bit but I hope this can be taken outside the context of politics and understood as a discussion of basic human decency)...
When I read the sentence, I was like “Wh… w… how? WHY? …and OF COURSE it was distributed via FTP, I mean, what else do you use for entertainment in AIX. Or business, for that matter.”...
I got my first job with AIX in the early 2000’s after the previous admin did a reinstall of the OS vs an upgrade on prod, with unverified backups. It was a resume generating event.
They lost over 3 months of data and barely survived it.
Would love to switch to a credit union, but I travel a lot and most are regional. DCU seems decent but does it work with ynab? I don’t want to manually enter everything.
I actually have a death date. It helps a lot with being able to plan my life and live in a way where I’ll be happy with my life if I were to die tommorow.
If I reach that date then great, anything after I just consider a bonus lol
Not OP, but It doesn’t matter to me what they are. It can be a call to discuss weekend plans, it can be an errand I have to run, it can even be an agreement with an friend to play a multiplayer game at X time. Something like a dentist appointment is the worst though.
I’m neurodivergent and not sure how much that matters to the phenomenon
Lol there was this kid back in school. Not the brightest lad. Him and another one of my friends were lighting off homemade fireworks.
After one of them didn’t go off, Thomas went over and looked down the tube. His face got it pretty good, he didn’t have eyebrows for almost an entire school year.
I was troubleshooting Bluetooth connection today and I thought that this is somehow related to software (PipeWire, bluez, bluetoothd and all that stuff). But no. Apparently Bluetooth barely works when WiFi antenna is disconnected from my ASUS motherboard....
I had the same problem too, I ended up buying a USB Bluetooth transmitter. I figured the board was bad until I replaced it and had the same problem with the new one
Oh this word might hurt someone, lets skewer it so not only does it bring all the focus to the word itself, but forces people to think about the word specifically and how big of a deal it should be!
Whoever did this really needs a smack upside the head
It’s a common saying, at least in north america. I didn’t even think about it reading it, but when you brought it up it does really sound like a typo haha

Which do you prefer? A triple monitor setup? Or one single 32:9 ultrawide monitor?
I have a triple monitor setup right now, but am thinking of trying a single ultrawide monitor. What is your preference?
What drew you to the high seas?

Prison Architect 2 transitioning game to a different studio (store.steampowered.com)
Really weird thing to happen before the game is even released. The game previously got delayed and is now being moved to a different team.
Lemmy is a worse platform for women than Reddit was

People keep telling me that Nuon is probably the most obscure video game platform ever created. Oh, they've not heard how the greybeards entertain themselves. (lemmy.world)

Anyone use DCU with ynab? Or can you recommend another online credit union?

Does it seem odd to track my lifespan?
So I have a widget in my phone’s home screen tracking the days I have lived so far, to remind me of the time I have, and not to waste it....
