I never tip because that only serves to lower the wages of employees.
EDIT: The downvote button to this comment is actually an “I am a complete ass who thinks that living wages are something that I, the ever benevolent patron, should bestow upon the worthy serfs at my discretion”-button.
Sorry, but you are wrong. I am not from Burgerland and tipping is not the standard here. I will not contribute to normalizing it either just because some restaurants hate their employees.
Nothing on Lemmy is posted on basis of “needs to be mentioned”, which kind of makes your question moot. Tipping causes lower wages because it relieves the employers of the obligation of paying their workers. Also, I am talking about systemic change, so what is “occasional” or otherwise conditional is not really a valid counter to the general point.
Norms are susceptible to change. Just as they are perhaps changing for the worse where I live, it could change for the better somewhere else. This is dependant on people not being idiots, so I am rooting for you.
Yup! Also one has to mind the order in which one rolls the dice. Since 10 and 5 could be either 05 or 50. As a bonus, if you roll them in order of “tens” to “ones”, getting 10 on the first dice has added suspense since the latter dice determines if it is going to count as a low roll of 0X (by rolling 1-9 on the next dice X) or if it is going to be a max roll of 100 (by rolling another 10).
Sadly, they are most likely forced to sell their labor for survival short term and hence cannot even invest their own time for the purpose of making something truly great.
I like it. It reminds me that Lemmy is a small space and that people on the internet are not bots, so we have to be nice to each other :) Plus it is always fun seeing you around in different threads.
The premises of the questions are wrong, hence they do not speak to the knowledge of anyone but yourself unfortunately. There are no last element in an infinite chain, because that is contradictory to the fact that they are infinite. Even questions such as the barber’s paradox, that are not logical fallacies, do not imply the nonexistence of god.
Mathematically speaking, everyone knows the last digit in Pi due to there not being one. We call this concept that something is vacuously true. Similarly a nonsense statement such as “all ants on the moon eat people for breakfast” is also true by default.

Just to clarify, basic skills do not equate to common skills. Everyone goes through stages and situations in life that they are not mentally equipped to handle. Incidentally, situations like that is a good pivot point for acquiring said skills. Also CBT helps you doing this, even though it is a little boring.
It is not Android that is backing up most things though, it is mostly done by Google Services. That means that your data is effectively vendor locked-in if you want to use Android as an actual open source project. Google gutting the AOSP to this extent should be illegal (maybe even is, but might is right).
A mathematical model can’t predict stock due to irratic behaviour as you have said. AI being fed tons of data though, perhaps earlier than the general public through insider programs, could definitely beat the average trader. Still, this would just be the rich leveraging unfair advantages they already have in a more efficient manner.
You could very well be right. However, this depends on other factors too, such as assuming you have opportunity to grow your wages in correspondence with inflation, which might not be true for a lot of people. In Norway we have the term “reallønn” (real wages) that is basically wage in relation to inflation, which one can see almost always decreases in times of high inflation (on average). So for those that have leverage to get raises beating inflation, high inflation could entail a good time to take up loans. Still, central banks also almost always respond with increasing rents subsequently, hence the answer might be maybe not so much given that paydown times often are 30 years or so.
Yeah, they donated their spare time to give you a decentralized platform where you could criticize them because they want to stifle “freedom of discussion”… That the lemmy.ml instance is heavily moderated on stuff like imperialist propaganda is a non-issue for freedom of expression due to the nature of federation. The devs do not even want their instance (lemmy.ml) to be the biggest, but actively promote joining other instances.
You confuse your right to express your opinions with the privilege of someone else providing you a platform for you to express them on. The devs provide the former without obligating themselves to be the ones to give you the latter.
Spoiler: They don’t. They are also not letting the absence of facts hinder them from claiming stuff to be true. Subsequently they worry about why their comments are being moderated.
Being mainly concerned with global economic imperialism does not imply acceptance for more traditional imperialism.
reflect their values
Instances are independent and federated, hence do not need to reflect the values of the project as a whole in any way. These properties of decentralization are the values of Lemmy.
I’ve seen the rest of your claims before and you have been asked to present any facts contributing to them elsewhere. Seeing that you still have not responded to them, I will refrain from discussing it in depth for the time being.
I get the impression that your bar for “evidence” are lowered due to some personal experience. To actually engage on a point you made, modlogs have been a mess for a while and there are good reasons not to federate all details of content moderated (such as child porn). It seems weird to me that you contribute this to an agenda of the devs trying to control other instances when they were the ones that gave the other instances their independence in the first place. These actions also do not further any such agenda in a meaningful way. The much simpler and probable explanation is that engineering stuff like this is hard.

Because anyone trying anything remotely close to communism becomes a big target for bourgeouisie capitalist interests. But hey, it is much better to be a chill communist who gets strung up in the streets by fascists while accomplishing nothing, am I right?

I am not an atheist, I genuinely believe that God exists and he is evil, like a toddler who fries little ants with a lens.
