Found this Shriekback album “Oil & Gold” at a local record shop. Cost me C$5.00.

Contains the song “Nemesis”, which is awesome.

Will be hearing this as I go on a walk with my Walkman.

My beautiful mother sadly lost her battle to copd yesterday morning.

She was 83.

All her life, she loved people, beauty and colour.

She was kind, loving, understanding, encouraging and above all, incredibly fierce, steadfast, and brave.

She always stood up for those who had no voices or power.

She always shared what she had with others.

Her home was always a welcome place for others, day and night.

Her favourite flowers were azaleas.

Good night, and sleep well, my amazing mother.

Went to list a postcard for sale this morning, then noticed that it was sent by HG Wells to his wife. Obviously I pulled it until I can authenticate it, but I'm fairly sure. 🤞

An update. Have sent 300dpi scans of both sides of the postcard to Eric Jukes, the Treasurer of the H.G. Wells Society. He's going to show them to some experts to see if it can be authenticated. 🤞
