PlayStation official response to Helldivers 2 fans (nitter.poast.org)

“Helldivers fans – we’ve heard your feedback on the Helldivers 2 account linking update. The May 6 update, which would have required Steam and PlayStation Network account linking for new players and for current players beginning May 30, will not be moving forward....

Frustrating that they made the decision in the first place. I’m still skeptical about their games in the future.

I don’t trust the other manufacturers to support their systems as well as the Steam Deck. Asus, Lenovo, MSi, and all of the Chinese brands make their money from the initial sale only. Valve continues to make money after the sale, so they want to make sure your Deck lasts as long as possible.

The person telling the story could always tell lies, which would mean his brother would only tell the truth.

Plans sound great, but I’ll be happy once it’s actually reclassified. This is long overdue.

I don’t think your math is correct. There are 946,728,000 seconds in 30 years. That would mean they made just over a dollar per second, which is still pretty insane.

The word really started to become popular last year, especially regarding Twitter and Reddit.

It’s said that companies can’t understand that pirating a game should be a worse experience, not a better one. I’m at the point where I only buy games on steam or gog. Any other launcher is a pain in the ass.

Maybe go back to 14-16th for points so cars that get knocked out of the race are not likely to get points. More than 4 out is pretty rare, and 6 out almost never happens. If they expand to another team, then 16th would make more sense.

I really think that having more points is better. Right now it can be hard to tell who is doing better within the slower teams.

That’s the lock screen combo, not sign out. To quickly sign out: win+x, u, i. i can be replaced with u for shutdown or r for restart.

Also, is it just the sale that is causing it to surge? Has there been a recent update that has improved the game?

Alaska is hard because there are so many cities/towns that aren’t a available with a road. Plenty of communities served by boat/plane only.

The first gameplay trailer I saw a while back looked pretty decent. Everything I have seen/read since has killed any desire to get this game.

Ads in Windows Explorer was the final straw to make me switch to Linux a few years back. I would imagine that ads in the Start Menu could convince some others to do the same.

Great when they let you get into position first. Trying to adjust around the cat, not so much…

I’ve been waiting for this update for a while since GE doesn’t do wine 9.0 builds.

Unable to install updates on Nobara 38 b/c the operation would result in removing the following protected packages: nobara-amdgpu-config [SOLVED]

I’m trying to install system updates on my gaming PC, which runs on Nobara 38. Typically I’d accomplish this in the command line by issuing dnf upgrade, but it refuses to update because doing so would remove the protected package nobara-amdgpu-config. Trying –skip-broken produces the same result....

Voytrekk,
@Voytrekk@lemmy.world avatar

Seems you already fixed it, but in general the system should be updated with nobara-sync or dnf distrosync. Sometimes he will downgrade packages so it’s best to just have it synced up with the same versions upstream.

I’m worried this will mean the game runs poorly on PC as well. I’ll wait for a sale down the line before picking this up, even though I really enjoyed the first one.

The beta starts soon but this game doesn’t give me much hope. It’s a cool idea to combine all of the heroes, but it’s being made by NetEase. The combat also didn’t feel very impactful and the environments felt a bit bare.

Voytrekk,

Marvel copy of an existing game developed by NetEase? Nope

I like the rule change. This will increase the amount of kickoffs returned, which should lead to more action. Also incentivizes kickers to be accurate instead of just kicking the ball as hard as they can on kickoff.

I do wish that they had changed the onside kick rules though. I think the XFL’s 4th and 15 rule is solid since its actual football instead of people just scrambling to recover a fumble.

It’s like when Apple says iPhone n is the fastest iPhone ever created at their announcement event. I would certainly hope so.
